Pet help!

In contrary to what everyone else is saying, I think this is a bad idea.

Zapping your pet with a specific color/species in mind is almost always a bad idea. It's very unlikely that your pet will become a Kacheek from being zapped. In fact, you have a 0.08525389853092288% chance of getting a Kacheek from a zap (statistics from lablog.sunnyneo.com, which has 177118 zaps logged).

It's very rare to get something you want. You're better off making a new Kacheek.

Well, if you lab a pet with something in mind, there are a few things to keep in mind...

Firstly, you will gain some stats. It's good and bad at the same time. Some lab trained pets are really strong, and if you invest into proper training at the same time, it can be beneficial. Secondly, you may arrive at one point and get another zap that what you had in mind that is going to make you happy. Some colors are lab exclusive, so it can be pretty interesting. But as Will said, chances to get what you had in mind are really slim, so if you think your lab experience isn't going to make you happy, don't do it on a pet you have a set plan for.

But "by that time" could be years from now, and during that time, your pet might turn into a species you don't like.

Labbing should be more for randomness. You can't expect anything from the lab ray.
