With the language trick, your best bet is to choose a language with different characters, or a much different spelling of the item name.  The programming for your "pets preferences" - which books they'll read, food they'll eat, petpets they'll accept - is based on the # of characters in your pet's name AND the # of characters in the item name.  Long story short, you want to aim to change the character count of the item when you are changing languages.

Yeah, my general experience is that a stock will go up to 300%, and then do one of two things: go down for for a day and right back up OR go down and stay there for a long time.  of course, there's always the chance that it'll get crazy high, which is why I try and keep /some/ of my shares when it goes beyond 300%.  when it hits 500%, it starts to get really, REALLY hard to hold xD

Do you sell all your shares when it hits 300% or more, jelly?  I'm trying to build my portfolio, so that's when I start selling.  my two goals are: to have shares in every company AND to have a total of 365k shares :D

lol taffy that's just how the stock market is.  they all go up, eventually.  there hasn't been a tank in yeaaaaarsssss

Regarding trying passwords, you should still be able to do so, even though you've tried the account recovery.  I've done this several times over my years at neo - the account recovery (forgot password) will only activate if the email is opened and the link is clicked.  You should be able to try 5 different passwords each day.

 

If you've sent a ticket to TNT from a different account, I'd let them know you're trying to get in.  It would really suck to send a ticket, get into your old account without it, only to have TNT freeze it for 'security reasons'.  

 

One thing to keep in mind: Relatively recently, Neo had a security breach, and froze a bunch of accounts to protect them.  That's why theres that recaptcha everytime you search a username.  Just another reason to be cautious if you're going to try getting into your account - TNT has been icing a lot :K

Yay for mammaw!  I'm thinking of starting a flower/plant gallery on Neo, but I'm not ready to part with my retired items gallery yet x.x

 

Does anybody know the rules for galleries on sides?

Honestly, the B3 are out of just about everybody's league, especially SUaP.  It's about being dedicated enough to stalk a secret lenders board, or specific lenders if you can convince them that you're "trustworthy" with a "good" account [i think the whole thing is...dumb, for lack of a better term, and that's why I haven't tried yet xD elitist things just don't sit well with me]

 

Anyway, if there are any avatar goals I can help you with, let me know!  Unfortunately, I was lent Meowy years ago when it was much cheaper, and there were far more users around that were lending.

I've got three lab rays; here's my results for today:

But... nothing happens. It makes a kind of 'zzrrrppptttt' sound before shutting down completely. The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something.

Welcome Carissa!  Devo here - I'm also a veteran neopian who is new to the TDN forums!

 

Avatars are my jam, too - I'm hoping to get lent one of the 'big three' sometime this summer.  

 

And yay dice-a-roo!  That's one of my favorite games, along with Scorchy Slots :D.  Hoping to get a trophy for the latter before the end of summer, too.
