Good luck with the new job!

 

I didn't know Fall Out Boy was touring right now, shoud be fun. I love concerts. :)

 

At the end of June my husband and I will be moving back home to Canada! We've been living for China for work. We appreciate the experiences we've had here but we really miss home and can't wait to go back. It's kind of scary too though because we don't have jobs lined up for when we go back so we'll be looking for work this summer as well as spending lots of time with our families.

That's wonderful! I've never owned a Gelert before, but the new colour makes me want one!

Oh gosh, the magazine! I remember getting an issue once... they weren't that easy to find where I lived. It had an Island Uni on the cover and I think there was a big poster too. Ahh, why did I get rid of it all those years ago?!

 

I never got a hold of any of the plushies when I was younger... I've been tempted to buy some on eBay. :P

 

Neopets has been around for a really long time and I definitely think it's heyday is over but I wouldn't say it's dead. A lot of people are returning (and staying) for the nostalgia. I do think the site needs to make a lot of changes and updates if they want to gain new players though. I really don't think it will ever be as big as it once was; gaming has changed a lot, especially with things going mobile. Nothing can stay popular forever...

I agree with most of what has already been mentioned here. That was a teachable moment and she totally blew it. It's really weird that she was encouraging him to keep trying to get a kiss out of the girl. :weird:

 

On another note, I really need to get better with my Portuguese. :P

It drives me crazy too! I have yet to clear it once, I can't even imagine clearing it twice in a row! I've been so close though.

Thanks for the compliments on the customization, too! :wub_anim: I've always admired the faerie Grundo, but I know I will never get one, so I got creative with the customization instead. This is his Valentines Day look, but I really like it, so I'm keeping it for a bit longer while I plan a more spring look.

 

Why do you think you will never get one? I always wanted a Faerie pet and had pretty much let go of that Neo dream after seeing how the PBs got even more expensive since I was last on the site. But then I got lucky with a rainbow dip after a Grey Faerie Quest. Don't give up!

Normally we are hiring on a continuous basis, we just don't always advertise it all the time. :)

This seems like fun but I haven't gotten too into the cutomization side of Neopets yet. Some of the other positions seem really interesting as well but living in China makes it difficult with the time difference. Maybe when I return to Canada in a few months I will revisit this if you're still looking for people. Best wishes finding others to join the TDN Team! :)

I finally got mine last night - won some neopoints. :)

I haven't gotten it either. A bunch of people on the Neopets subreddit also said they haven't received it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I've been wondering about the pet sayings too lately, but I haven't had mine say anything as relevant as your example yet. Everytime one of my pets suggests something like a Tiki Tour or going to a concert I feel like they're giving me a hint that I will get lucky with a RE or something. Lol. Most of the time I just ignore it but I feel like I might miss out on something. :P

 

Also, for those of you who switch out your active pets often, do you notice a big difference in the occurence of pet sayings? I find my Wocky much more vocal than my other pets. She always has something to say!

I've always loved Faerie pets and when I first joined the site I wanted both my Shoyru and Uni to be painted Faerie. I now have a Faerie Shoyru - he's so cute - so I fufilled my dream of having a Faerie pet! I'm thinking about adopting another Shoyru and painting him Baby. I would now love for my Uni to be painted Woodland since I think Woodland Unis look amazing (I was away from the site when Woodland was released). When I adopted my Wocky she was already painted Cloud. I really like it on her though, so I'll probably keep her that way.

 

Plushie Shoyrus are adorable too though... I think I just realized that Shoyrus are my favourite species... and there are just too many colours I like. :P

 

I don't really have one dream pet but a bunch.

 

Seeing all of the cutomization options that are available too just blows my mind. I haven't even gone there yet!

That's exactly what I was thinking too. If I had had an earthy themed wedding I would have loved a cake like that! :)

Reganmian (hot dry noodles) - yum! One of the few things I really enjoy eating here in China. I always said that I loved Chinese food back home (Canada) but it's very different than real Chinese food. Lol. Don't get me wrong, there are a few dishes here that I think taste absolutely amazing but not that many. Then again, I'm also quite picky. But yes, Chinese food in North America - very different.

I love LiveJournal so I joined the Neopian Adults community there but unfortunately it doesn't seem very active. That's the story with a lot of communties on LJ though which makes me sad.

 

I also recently joined the Neopets subreddit on reddit.com. That seems to be the most active community, there are always a bunch of new posts everytime I visit. I'm still not fond of the way the site is set up though - seems so disorganized to me but maybe I just have to get used to it.

I'm working on a cupcake gallery so I'm collecting anything cupcake right now. I also collect watermelon items since it's my favourite fruit. I really love faerie stuff too so while I'm not actively collecting it, whenever I do get faerie items (like from the recent Faerie Quest Event) I hang on to them. Everytime I see Illusen items (like that gorgeous cake that was released today) it makes me want to start an Illusen gallery too. I wish we could have more than one gallery on a single account. :P

I used to collect Tokidoki and Harajuku Lovers bags and clothes. It was starting to get out of hand. I still think it's super cute stuff but I'm glad I got over it and sold a lot of it.

This is my first time participating. I chose Sway - no particular reason.

Oh I LOVE that cake! So pretty. Everytime I see Illusen items it makes me want to start an Illusen gallery.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. My name is Angel and I'm 26. I created my Neopets account in 2004 when I was 15 years old. I played it for quite a while back then and got my brothers into it too. I remember logging in maybe once or twice over the years after I had been away from the site for so long but I don't think I hung around more than a few days those times. About a week ago I logged in again and I've been spending way too much time on it since :P I'm really surprised my account was still there to be honest because I read that they may purge accounts after 18 months of inactivity. I know there were periods that I was definitely away longer than that.

I only had a few NeoFriends back then but of course they haven't been on the site in a long, long time. My username there is annwnn if any one here would like to be friends :)

I was loving the Faerie Quests, came back just in time for the event. I got some NC cookies so I was doing two Quests a day. I got soooo lucky after just a few days of doing quests! I got a Grey Faerie Quest and I was wondering what I would receive as a reward because I didn't remember seeing her on any Faerie Quest guides. I didn't look it up beforehand though because I wanted to be surprised. And guess what I got! A DIP IN THE RAINBOW FOUNTAIN! OMIGOSH! I couldn't believe it :O I painted my Shoyru Faerie! I remember when I first started playing I wanted to paint my pets Faerie so bad but the brush was so expensive. When I came back a few weeks ago and looked up the prices they're even more ridiculous, now that it's retired I guess. So I had pretty much given up on that and was just gonna get a cheaper brush. I'm glad I waited! I'm not sure if I would still want all of my pets to be Faerie or not though. I love everything Faerie but I have a Shoyru, Uni, and Wocky and I think the Faerie looks the best on the Shoyru. I have the original blue Uni right now so the Faerie one doesn't look much different - just the wings and the horn and I'm not too fond of the Faerie Wocky to be honest. I think the Woodland Uni looks pretty cool so I might try that if I get the chance. I adopted my Cloud Wocky and I think I may just keep her that way.

What are your dream colours for your pets? Do you have them already or still working on it?

Anyway, I've been having lots of fun on Neo and glad to join here :)
