Malissa looked back at her home for one last time. Was she making the right choice? Only time will tell... Besides, in her heart, Malissa felt it was right. She needed to move on. She thought of those wonderful moments- talking with the Flotsams and making friends with the Maraquan Kacheeks... She quickly wiped away her tears away. Malissa knew that this was what her destiny was... She didn't want her parents to choose her fate. She didn't want to be a princess with huge responsibilities held on her shoulders. She wanted to be..free. She tore away at the remains of her royalty and swished pass the seaweed. They seemed to be trying to push her back, but she wasn't going to be going back. Ever. Malissa put on a fearless grin and swam into the darkness.

How coincidental! I am too! But I lost my original work, so I'm currently remaking one. I'm thinking of making a Maraquan Aisha, since it sort of looks like a mermaid. :P

Always check the Shop Wiz before buying an item to see if it is actually of any use. You may end up wasting your precious NP if you don't! But you have to be quick about your purchase because there are others, too, restocking!

I agree with you, I hate the whole Coincidence Quest! But- I still try and do it. I mean, I'll reject the quest if it costs too much (I always check the prices before buying anything).

 

I did, once, give up on the quests. But it was just so hard to stay away! Like how you may give up on Neopets ("it's a waste of my time, I need to study, etc.), eventually, you're gonna return.

 

At first it reminded the same; same useless events, until one day...

I was just back to get another quest, when I saw that the prices were a little over 2k (Sorry, I'm cheap) and I hesitated before continuing.

 

But... Guess what? The random event came and I was ready for another waste my time and Neopoints.

 

I got... *drumroll please* over 18k!!!! :D :D :D

 

And, just today, they increased my pet's strength by 2.

 

So... I don't think you should really give up! Just don't accept the quests if they are too costly!

Ohh... My... God... I'm still trying to recover from shock of my luck... You're probably wondering what I'm so surprised about... Or you already've guessed it- I found the treasure in the Faerie Caverns!! :D YAY!!

 

Well, I was just trying my luck through the cavern and as soon as I got in there, I became negative. I'll never make it through, just like always... I became a little excited when I got through the second pathway. But then I felt negative again... With my luck... :( I was sighing, ready to close the tab to check out if they were selling anything good in the Garage Sale. Then, BAM! I saw the treasure right in front of my eyes! I think I accidentally squealed a bit. :P I mean, the treasure was only about 2k, but still!

 

Lesson Learned: Always be negative when entering the Faerie Caverns!

 

Also, I noticed whenever my pet is ungrateful at Coltzan's Shrine, saying things like "It took them long enough to build it, this better be good!" Coltzan's usually does nothing or give some cheap desert food. Whenever my pet says a good-natured comment like "Poor old Coltzan..." (Sympathetic), Coltzan usually gives us doubloons or increase stats!

 

What do you think? A coincidence or... *wink, wink*

(This is a story to add to my customization) :)

 

It was a chilly night- and a spooky one too. Wind howled, as if trying to escape an unseen prison... A thick fog blurred up everything in view. CRUNCH. W-what was that sound? I whirled around frantically, but saw nothing. Stop being such a coward, I told myself. It's just your imagination. I continued walking slowly and cautiously, my boots making a soft munching sound on the dead leaves. I heard a loud moan in my ears. I quickly shot forward, fearful of what it could be. "S-stop!" I shouted, not sure who or what I was talking to. An evil cackle rang out from the rustling bushes. It seemed to come out from all directions. "W-who are you?!" I demanded. "What do you want?!" I waved my flashlight uncontrollably, hoping the horrible noise would go away. Then I saw it. The evil creature. Horrified, I grabbed my flashlight and threw it as far as I could at the monster. It had rotten, scarred flesh and most of its face was disfigured. I felt like I was going to throw up. IT WAS A ZOMBIE. "Braaaaaiiiiiinssssss?" It asked, examining me. Scared, I bolted pass the trees, which didn't look like the peaceful plants anymore. Just... Evil. I ignored the thorns that pricked my skin. I had to get to the others- and fast. I had to warn them... That this was the night... When the Undead came back for revenge.

I agree that looks pretty much fine! I thought maybe you should add some Ghosts/Ghostkercheifs or bats to make it a bit spookier. Or maybe you should add one of those creepy veils that ghost brides have! (I mean, if Neopets has such a wearable) or maybe you should add something to help the apples look... For example, an Apple Bobbing Cane, a Shiny Apple (both are very cheap), or, like you suggested, an Apple Bobbing Bart Hat (it's cheap too)!

Also, Sabs, on your customization, it's pretty cool! :) I like how you tried to relate it to anime! Was there an anime character that you were aiming to copy?

Well... I don't really have any. I just plan to probably lie on the couch and watch TV. I'm not the type of person who expects anything fancy and expensive; just something that will keep me interested. School has really been interfering with my Internet times so I think that I'll be able to go on Neopets more often. :)

I'm also going to visit my mom and help her out at the restaurant. She's been really busy and I think she would appreciate a nice relaxing break. ^_^

School is not just about over for me, it's also almost over for the little kiddos! They can be really annoying at times but they keep my mood up and busy too! :P

 

BUT... I really feel like this summer is goin to be shorter than expected. It always is. Or maybe it's just that I'm having fun. :P ;)

Just keep on working at the Healing Springs; you can go about every 30 minutes so it really is a privilege! Here's another tip: Don't forget to check Coltzan's Shrine every 12 hours! You have a chance of Coltzan's healing your pet! :)

I started Neopets when I was 10. I saw an ad for it and I got so excited that I immediately made an account. My first pet ever was a Shoyru. Sadly, though, she was never activated and got rejected. I made a second account shortly after, hoping it wouldn't be such a disaster. It was successful and I played for a long time. But then school took over and I had to begin studying instead of tapping away on the computer. I came after I graduated from high school and went back. I have played on Neopets ever since... And it's as addictive as always... :)

I've also convinced some of my friends and family to make accounts also... And they begin to realize its addictiveness too; but I'm the on,y one that will actually go on daily. :P

P.S. I made a new account about three months ago; before I discovered TDN.

Wow, you are one really fortunate person! Whenever I go shopping, I NEVER see anything related to Neopets (except for this one time I saw some Neopet stickers and bought them for my neice). Seeing you being so lucky gives me hope... Maybe something great will happen to me too! :D Congrats on your prize!

As for the Caption Contest, I'm not quite sure how it works either. You can send as many captions as you want to TNT. I'm sure you know how to do that, getting into the contest and all. :P But, just in case, I will explain it. They will see your captions that you have sent them and verify if if it is appropriate. They will choose the lucky people who's caption get in the contest. (There will be 25 entries)

People will vote for you (if they like it) and the top few people who get the most votes win!! If you win the contest, you also win: an avatar and a trophy!! :D

The trophy will be awarded around the end of a month, up to three weeks after that contest is over.
