I'm totally a hoarder. When I fill up my inventory with all the stuff from my dailies, I put a few things in my shop, use the food/books on my Neopets, then just deposit the rest into my SDB. Every once in a while I'll go in there, choose a category of stuff, and sell a good amount of it, but for the most part, it just sits there forever, waiting to be useful XD

This thread inspired me to go buy one & test my luck! Paid 1150 NP for the bag and 453 to repair it, and got 1992 in return. A 389 NP profit. I normally get them repaired, just like I normally open Discovered Treasure Chests--I hate to think that the one time I sell it instead, I'm missing out on a cool item/profit.

Buy some of the more expensive stamps. I have enough NP to invest in stamps I don't have, but I'm always hesitant to drop so much NP on one item (just like in real life--I'm too cheap, haha). If I was forced to spend it all by the end of the day, that would definitely help me bite the bullet and go ahead and cross some of those pricier stamps off my list!

About a week ago my main pet finally made it to the secret ninja training school! Since then I've gotten the strength stat up high enough for the next boost multiplier thing, and rearranged my battle equipment set a bit so now I can beat the Koi Warrior in one hit. This has been my goal for a while so I can more easily collect codestones to sell, so now I need to figure out what my next goal is!

Finally got the Drackonack avatar, after much refreshing of my inventory!

Love the NP limit increases! Much easier/safer trading and buying of pricier items will be possible now.

I got a 20 Dubloon Coin from Anchor Management--not sure if that was possible before, but still! Wowza!

One of my petpets zapped into a Huggy, so I got the Huggy avatar! Meanwhile, I've been refreshing my inventory for WEEKS trying to get the Drackonack avatar, and still no luck... Come on, Neopets! I'm holding up the chain lend line with this thing because it's taking me so long :sad02:

I hear that! I have all the King Hagan/Skarl avatars, but still do these every day as part of my dailies for the trophies because I know I will not be getting too many flash game trophies, haha. The random ones are my only hope!

Not really an achievement, so much as luck. I've been power-leveling at the training school, so it's getting expensive--and I've been lazy about going on every ~12 hours to start a new training session. But today the Coincidence gave me +3 in level, and the training session I finished gave me a +2 bonus! Makes up for the missed sessions I've had over the past couple of days :laughingsmiley:

does anyone here just buy their stocks daily and never ever sell them unless on the off chance they skyrocket? thats what ive been doing for the last 2 years and i find it's a good way to save NP cause even tho stocks fluctuate they don't ever really crash.. tbh if i hadnt done this i would have spent soooo many more nps than i have now.. and maybe one day one of the stocks ive invested in will go crazy and i'll make a few mil :D

I do this! I bought like 100 shares YEARS ago at 15np per share, went on hiatus, and came back to see it worth over 500 per share. Of course, I was an idiot and only bought 100 shares and not 1,000. But I keep stockpiling the cheap stocks every day, in hopes that one will jump up like that again. I actually just sold some for the first time, now that COFL has been valuable--with all the issues on the site recently I haven't been able to make NP, so I had to part with some stocks, haha.

Is the Battledome not working for anyone else? It used to function for me--I'd get some error messages but resending my commands seemed to work, and items showed up in my inventory but not in the post-battle screen, as I know others were experiencing. However, now, I'm getting error messages & reclicking/refreshing isn't doing the trick. Between this, game scores not sending properly, Food Club not functioning properly, and the death of Habitarium, I have no ways of making NP to cover my training costs. Adios bank account balance for the time being!

Edit: BD seems to be working for me now. Maybe it was just a bad internet connection (on a different network now), or just bad luck. Still waiting on those game scores though :sad02:

I was wondering if the stock market was broken for anyone else. Disappointed to see that it IS indeed down, but I feel a little better that it's not just me, haha. I picked the Obelisk boon that allows me to buy stocks at 10np per share instead of the usual 15np, and it's driving me crazy that it's going to waste. If I had realized the stock market wasn't working before then I would have picked the increased bank interest boon instead :(

Was all psyched to zap my new lab pet for the first time, and got lost 2 attack points, haha. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow!

I hit 250 avatars! I've only got a few more related to certain pets, items, or random events, so I'm trying to start focusing on the game ones. Going to need a few of them to hit my next mini-goal of 265.

Today's the last day to battle, if you're like me & totally lost track of the schedule because of the recent maintenance! Loading is super slow in the BD for me right now, but I'm pushing through to get my minimum battles in for the skirmish, haha.

Not in the guild as I have forever pledged by allegiance to the Brightvale Altador Cup guild, but if I joined any other guild it would definitely be ZYDP. Whenever I get a cool zap I check out people's wishlists & try to adopt it out. I just recently gave a Wraith Scorchio to someone who loves wraith pets! Feels good, man :wub_anim:

I know it's nothing but Kingdom of Loathing is a great site. I used to play it tons when I was younger and I recently decided to rejoin and play again.

I used to play KoL hardcore back in the day! I made it through so many of the quests/came so close to finishing everything! I might have to revisit it soon. I don't know if they required e-mails to register, so I doubt I could get my old account back, but restarting is always fun :laughingsmiley:

So much stuff. I started this ambitious task of pricing every item in my SDB. Yeeeah, I got to like page 7 and then quit. Most of it is 1 np stuff and I just aint got the time.

This! I went through and started to sell off some of my stuff in there in the hopes of making some NP, but it was just too overwhelming. Also, that was right before the Coincidence started. I was JUUUUUST starting to get over my hoarding tendencies, but the Coincidence made me just keep everything again, haha XD

I'm guessing an avatar, wearable, p3, and/or a trophy.

 

I really hope it's something that makes up for the death of Habi and not just a few NPs and an item that will become junk after a while. :tired:

I would love a trophy for my lookup! I'm not great at the flash games but I love getting trophies, so site events and stuff like the death of Habitarium are my best chances at adding more, haha. I would also love a wearable--anything that Prof. Clodbottle was wearing would be fun!

I was pretty lucky & got all the avatars fairly quickly, so now I just choose whatever faction strikes my fancy that day! This time, it happened to be The Sway.

I usually do the quest if the total item cost is <1000NP. Each stat increase costs me about 21k if I train it myself, so it's definitely worth it even if I only win rarely.

Same here! As long as none of the items that are still pricey since the initial inflation after the Coincidence was introduced are being asked for (looking at you, Yellow Growth/Stagnant Puddle of Water/Box of Wheat Flakes), I generally do it.

I've gotten a lot of "nothing happened" results, and several stat decreases, but I have also gotten a +10 stat increase and a petpetpet, so it's worth it at the end of the day!

Thanks to the TDN pet chain lending for avatars, I've gotten 6 new avatars in the past week or so! I'm only a couple away from hitting my next benchmark goal of 250. This means it's getting close to the time when I have to start trying for the dreaded game avatars... uhoh :P

I was always a daily-item hoarder so I had a nice stock of the items in my SDB to begin with. I mostly get "nothing happened," and have gotten stat decreases several times too, but I have also gotten a +10 increase in attack and a P3 worth ~400k, so overall it's probably been worth it for me!

Congrats! I remember getting lucky & catching a competition early once, and still just barely making the cut to get a bronze trophy. I'd love to upgrade to a silver or gold but I am awful at remembering to check as soon as the new challenge is released (and I am awful at most of the flash games, haha). Someday!

Getting the lab map for me was mostly about finally achieving something I never thought I'd be able to do back in my early Neopets days. It was cool to finally have something that I had always associated with rich Neopians :laughingsmiley:

I haven't been using it recently as I just adopted out my last lab pet & am collecting some needed pet avatars before I adopt a new one, and I've really missed it! It's always fun to hope for some unique color zaps.
