I managed to get a Poogle with a very pretty name (and no numbers or symbols, whoop!) at the pound today. I was going to shell out on a morphing potion at some point so I was super glad to find one and with a better name than I could have come up with!

I also bought the lab map today for 960k which I think is a good deal (erm, it is a good deal right?) only it makes me sad to look at my bank account now which is a shame >< Looking forward to zapping some pets, though!

I don't think the toolbar works in any browsers any more. Just watch this thread for alerts and you can always refresh every once in a while at Tarla's page and maybe you'll get lucky there and be able to catch her. :)

Does the toolbar still work for anybody here? Or is everyone just randomly refreshing?

For those with slow connections, do you know about the low-resolution link? You can play on medium quality and switch to low quality for mini games (right-click on the game screen, then select the quality from the menu). Medium keeps the game readable, while most of the minis work okay in low (exception: the spyder game seems to glitch more often on low) -- just remember to switch back to medium at the end-of-mini score screen. Changing the quality nearly leveled the playing field between me and a friend with a much faster computer and connection (in the garden game, she'd get 2-3 pours before I'd even finish my first one; now I can sometimes beat her).

While there are more than a few people that actually quit a game when it looks like they won't get a gold key, there are a few of us that have slow connections that sometimes drop the game. The last surviving player should always get at least a bronze key for his trouble, or his won np.

I thought about this but I wonder if people would start abusing the system if they can't be bothered to play but want free stuff - go into a room with a friend and bail so that they can win something. Perhaps if a person leaves the game they can be replaced with a bot that can complete the game? Would that even work?

I listen to some bubblegum pop that I loved back in the 90s, and I'm pretty unapologetic about it.

I have tonnes of Aqua on my ipod because it makes me feel cheery.. but I'm wary of listening to it in public in case someone can hear it. I imagine I must look kind of silly sitting on the bus straight-faced with ~Ayepiyayioo, ayepiyayay~ emanating from my headphones.. :rolleyes_anim:

I might be missing it (correct me if I'm wrong!) but I really wish there was a "my internet is super slow" messaging option because once the game was so slow it was practically frozen and I had no choice but to quit halfway through and I felt real bad for the other person in the game..

I'm just saving up because I like looking at my money in the bank.. I've been back and forth from this site for 12 years and hadn't really got the hang of making money until now :p I have about 1mil in the bank right now which is the most I've ever had and I'm so psyched about it! I think the first thing I'll end up buying will be some kind of PB :laughingsmiley:

I'm new to the forum but not to neopets.. started my first account in 2000 and have been back intermittently ever since. I've sort of hid my liking for this site for a long time because I literally thought only kids played it (and I'm 20!) so I'm so glad I've discovered that people of all ages play it too. I can't wait to have some people to talk about it with and maybe make some new friends, so ye, nice to meet you all :)
