I'm planning to quit once my premium runs out, so hopefully by then I'll have met my goals. Don't see myself playing this for a longer period of time, it's just something I was thrown into by someone else and I admit there are things that get you hooked, but it's starting run out and I still have over a year of premium left.. x_x

Happened to me with the march 7th avatar.. And I also forgot about the valentine theme -.- didn't realize that until just a few days ago when I was checking through the list of themes.. sigh have to wait another year -_-

Here's a thread that had the same question and answers are inside. You should try searching your questions before posting a new topic.. Just a suggestion.

 

The only ways I know of changing gender would be:

 

1. Use the lab ray again (Not recommending that..)

2. Fight the lab ray scientist in the battledome. (apparently he can change your gender during the fight by using a certain weapon/attack?)

Chrome has its own built-in flash, what you reinstalled didn't affect it at all :D The website has been glitchy today. I am using Chrome, however, I am using the beta version, so version 27.0.1453.47 beta-m and Kass Basher loaded fine. Honestly, I would simply wait a bit before re-installing Chrome, simply to see whether the website fixes itself. Other than that, if you are logged in into Chrome, re-installing is just two or three clicks and you don't lose any bookmarks/history/passwords or even the theme :)

I'm using FF and haven't had any issues on neopets today. So don't know if I'm just being lucky today or if maybe it's a chrome issue?

 

Instead of going through reinstalling chrome, which shouldn't take much time anyways, just attempt using a different browser.

I've personally only pounded pets I adopted for avatars in the first place. I didn't feel bad.

My girlfriend on the other hand almost couldn't pound the pets back, especially a xweetok she found in there. She finally did pound it, but she went and created a new xweetok x_x she didn't like the name the other one had or she would have kept I'm sure..

This is one avatar I've set aside for later. May give it a shot at random times. Good to know about the price thing. Anyone know if it's rare for one of the items to show up? & if so how rare? (Once a day? Etc.)

I personally don't use chrome, so I'm not too familiar with the version numbers and updates, but if reinstalling it doesn't change anything, you could try to search based on the version you're installing and seeing if maybe it's a recent update to the browser that may be interfering with those things.

You could try downgrading flash to a previous version? Not familiar with flash either, so not sure if it's possible, but I assume it is.

 

You should try a different browser though to see if it's just chrome having issues.

Congrats on the lucky zap! I haven't had much luck with my zaps.. Just recently started (maybe a month?) Only color changes I've had other than the basic colors has been to invisible -_-

Thanks for asking the question tiny. I actually was wondering the same thing. I thought the restriction was just on transferring a pet you had, so you would have the limitation on how many you could send, but still have unlimited receives.. Good to know for the future as I need to try and get some help with certain pet avatars..

 

Also, these transfer per month, do they reset on the 1st or a 30 day cycle?

There are some games that I've had issues loading. Those gamers in particular load perfectly fine for me.

Have they never worked for you or is it just now not working?
Have you tried using another browser?
Did you recently downgrade or change some options?
Do you have everything updated? Such as flash?

Just a few questions to help you go through finding what is not letting you load those games.

I received the Drackonack - Hungry avatar a few days ago with an alert. I tried refreshing a lot for a few days, put them in my SDB to deal with later, took them out again, and I got the alert as soon as I went to my inventory. For the record, my inventory was arranged Cheese Spread on a Plank, Mighty Vegan Cheese Log, Drackonack, Cheese - and of course it ate the Cheese because it's the most expensive item. The snob. So I think it's still possible - hopefully my account isn't just one of few that don't have to deal with a glitching problem.

 

Thanks for the input. It doesn't really matter if the avatar is given with or without an alert. (I refreshed like crazy for mine, so no way I would have seen it for me).

Just glad that it is still working, she'll just have to keep trying.

Yeah I assumed you wouldn't downgrade or wouldn't get a second trophy, but just asked just in case. Considering the gold is totally different from the bronze/silver.

Now I just need to get gold on solitaire.. x_x

I was also top 250 and received the prize. Send in a bug report. Usually I get it by the time I get the NM (sometimes even before). Or I've actually gotten it and lost it in a RE before I even realized I got it (usually the WoE). :(

 

Sent in a bug report, they replied within 24 hours (surprisingly..). They said that according to their logs I received it, so my guess is that I lost it from RE.

 

So today I magically got the gold trophy in Pyramids. After 100 games and no pyramids complete, I got two in a row. I had the bronze from a few months back, so I'm wondering will I not have to get the silver trophy? Is it not possible to have the silver and gold?

Anyone know?

There's only a couple ways of losing levels as far as I know (I've been trying to lose some myself too).

 

1. Deadly Dice with Count Von Roo (Only awake 0000-0059NST [12:00am-12:59amNST])

 

2. Using the lab ray. Thought many things can happen with the ray and it's uncertain you'll lose levels, but I've been lucky enough to get quite a few -2 levels, but then I usually get +2 levels the next day x_x

 

That's it for the level decreases as far as I know..

I've wondered about the Jetsam one too! Lots of people have said it doesnt work. Thanks for the advice!

 

Well lots of people have said it doesn't work (me included as it hasn't for me).

But many have also said it worked for them. The relation I'm seeing to the people saying it works is that they are fighting with a jetsam against a jetsam. As I don't have one I can't test it.

That's why I wanted to know if maybe the way to unlock the avatar has changed or if it's just the Beta BD that's causing this.

On another note, not really related to avatars, but kind of is.

I actually got the lenny conundrum from last week correct and get the avatar + a silver trophy. I didn't receive the item prize though even though the message said I would.. Any ideas?

I have read about the shrine being like that. Not sure if it's proven or not, but I totally stopped going for a certain time I just click whenever. When I was doing it I didn't see anything consistent with it.

 

I don't know much about how TNT operates and how things work on Neopets, but I think if the shrine does work like that or it did at some point (different times giving certain prizes), I wouldn't doubt that other things could be like that.

 

As far as testing it, I think you would need a large group of people to test it and would need them to be accurate. The problem with the times is that sometimes you'll click but due to lag it'll take longer than being instant and therefore will skew any results you get.

 

If you see a pattern and it's working for you, I suggest you keep doing it (more items, so why not?). But I don't think going so in depth will get you too far. I'm sure there's some formula to all the prizes being given and most likely it's random so even if at certain times you get a certain group of prizes, I'm sure the solution to win a certain prize every time will never be found as it will be impossible.

My normal browser is chrome ;) But I tried bot FF and IE already. So maybe I will try copy URL into a new tab. Maybe that will help ?!

 

That's what I had to do to get it working the first time I finally got it working. I pasted the url into the normal tab and refreshed (still got the error message), until it worked.

 

I do have a way of getting it to work on the first try. I'm going to test it on my girlfriend's computer and see if it works the same as it does on mine. If it does I'd like to share it with everyone, perhaps get it posted as a possible solution on the gourmet club bowls guide? :)

 

 

I've tried dice escape, but it's not working properly. It loads fine in chrome and FF. But the dice is under? the board instead of being on top (which is how it's supposed to be?)

Is this not fixable?

I got the avatar for club bowls though & hopefully my score stays for the gold trophy! But I'll definitely get the pirate caves next & I'll see if dice escape works on chrome.

Unfortunately, I was tired and figured since I'd gotten it working, I'd get it another night. The next time I tried, I couldn't get it working, but I was able to get it working with the same directions on my work computer with a few tries.

So I kept trying and it still wouldn't work with what it said. But I did copy the url into a new tab and that got it to work after a few tries with the error popping up.

 

Now that it works I just need to learn how to play.. Having a difficult time. But it definitely is an achievable avatar and possibly trophy as well considering not many people get to play it!

The guide on TDN says it works hourly. I'm wondering if that's true, because no matter when I go it just says 'can we try again tomorrow.' I just want to know if I should make it a daily visit or if I should keep trying multiple times a day?

Anyone have any ideas? Has anyone got it from going multiple times a day? My gf got it on a daily visit, so not sure if it works hourly.

I wonder about Gourmet Club Bowls, too. Unfortunately, TDN guide couldn't help me, because Hannah & Pirate Cave wouldn't load for me either so I didn't achieve this one :(

I actually downloaded chrome and tried it like it said. H&tPC didn't load for me in IE and FF, but it works fine in chrome. Sadly following the steps didn't work for Gourmet Club Bowls. It keeps saying there's issues with the flash content or something and that's about it.

 

At least now I have another game to try considering H&tPC is an avatar game as well :)
