I got it just for the pure fun of having random pets. I have been zapping pets from the pound and then adopting them out with great success and have gifted quite a few people their dreamies, so to me it's totally worth it. It also zapped one of my pets into a Jetsam that I then painted in my fav Jetsam colour and now have a brilliant pet. Nowadays it seems obsessed with zapping things into Bruces for some reason, I've had Desert, Halloween, Maraquan, red, yellow and blue Bruces :D Thanks to the giveaway I got the set for my boyfriend as well and he has been having great fun with it. Totally worth it both times :)

 

That's a good idea. I am a little obsessed with lab ray zapping and i've messed up a few of my pets because of it. Had them all the wrong gender at one point which i've only just sorted out. My first pet has been stuck as an Island Flotsam for ages now (not my favorite type of pet or colour) and if I wasnt so sentimental I would have passed her onto someone who'd like her more. After I get her sorted out, I think now i'm going to start being careful with the pets i want to keep and maybe look at adopting so I can get my fix of lab ray!

Last night I watched a vampire movie "Let Me In" (2010) and liked it a lot

 

Oh, I've not seen the english version of it but the original Swedish one "Let the Right One In" was utterly brilliant and the book was really disturbing! The last film I saw was Dark Shadows which was ok but not mind blowing.

Thank you for the replies everyone. Glad I joined and hope to get to know some of you around the forums.

I really like dystopian books and I don't mind if they are a bit uncomfortable to read as it's those kinds of books that really stay with you and make you think. Some of my favourite books are Animal Farm, 1984, Lord of the Flies, Catcher in the Rye and Catch 22. I've not gotten round to reading any Asimov though but it's definitely on my list.

 

I'm currently making my way through Haruki Murakami's novels and he makes references to other literature and i'm planning to read some of the books mentioned in Norwegian Wood so it feels a bit like a weird treasure hunt.

I'm the kind of person that will put a song on to play if it's mentioned in a book too because i'm weird like that.

 

I've also finally gotten round to reading the hunger games, I put it off because of the hype and because it sounded a lot like the book Battle Royale which I loved. I'm glad I read it now though and i'm looking forward to reading the next two when I get round to buying them.

That is amazing! Wish I knew some neofans in real life because i'd totally throw a neo dinner party and use this for food inspiration. Of course people would have to come in costume.

My goals are pretty simple since I neglected neopets while I was getting my degree. I don't think I was very goal orientated before

so now i'm trying to be a bit more thoughtful about what I want to do.

 

1) Fix my pets genders (I went a little secret lab crazy when I first got it so pretty much all my pets got a bit messed up!) done!

2) Get to level 50 in habitarium which is hard because my laptop is often grumpy and won't let me load it. I'm on level 28 now though.

3) Sort my finances and get back into saving some NP (Not being helped by a slight addiction to the wheel of extravagance and terrible luck)

4) Fix my original pet Shia who got changed into a flotsam (Nice pet but not one of my favourites)

5) Also fix Rosynympth who is now a Tuskaninny which doesn't really suit the name.

6) Get more goals.

Thank you for the tips. I'm certain i'll be asking a lot of questions and do a bit of board lurking! :) Tried to catch up by lurking on the Neopets boards

but I'm a bit behind on all these new abbreviations! lol So I have been searching for answers on the internet and I kept getting directed here!

Been playing neopets for ten years but had a bit of an uber long break from it so i'm a little bit

lost. Never signed up for TDNF before. I'm a 26 years old Artist and i'm really not good at writing
