  1. I personally am against abortion for myself but that doesn't mean I think it should be illegal.

Actually - I think it needs to stay legal. It was illegal before and obviously it didn't work.

I'm in agreement with you. I'm totally against abortion for me, but I don't think the government should have a say in it at all. What does it have to do with the government? It's someone's personal decision. No one should be able to tell someone else what to do in such a personal area.

  2. I recently re-watched X-Men: The Last Stand with a friend who'd never seen it before. I love those movies...

I liked the x-men series, too. If only I had them... ^^

I just rewatched Some Kind of Wonderful for about the millionth time. I love it so much. I kinda wish I'd been a teen back whenever it was set... (70's? 80's?) :D

  3. Also, Brave New World is awesome. It's not unrealistic, because they explain everything out in the story. Page 11? Stick to it. It's awesome.

I'll be sure to stick with it, then. ^_^

I ended up having to read Brave New World for 2 of my classes in college. I hate that book so much. Essentially, they're taught to have sex at the age of 5.

lol I hope I don't hate it that much. XD

  4. Quantum of Solace : the worst Bond movie in my opinion :( except for the title which was super ..

The Rum Diary : I liked it ... but I kept wondering when will he say "why is the rum gone" ... :P

I completely agree!! Let's hope they don't make another new bond movie. The same happened with Indiana Jones. Ew. Gross. Loved the old stuff, not so much the random new plot lines that don't fit and have worse actors... :whofarted:

The last movie I saw that I can remember is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I really liked it. :happystrange: Great actress and an interesting interpretation of the book. Different, but good. Very good. :P

  5. In order of amount, I'm Egyptian, German, Polish, Swedish, and a teensy bit Sicilian. Heinz 57, right? You have to wonder how egyptian got in there, but it did, thanks to my mom. The rest is from my father.

You'd think with this background I'd know a ton of languages (or at least three), but no. :(

    I'm Slovenian. Just Slovenian. Boring.

that's pretty cool in my opinion! =D

  6. I've just started on Your Heart Belongs to Me by Dean Koontz.

About a 100 pages into the book, it's super suspensful... can't wait to see how this turns out!

I heard that that was... interesting, to the say the least. I honestly got tired of Koontz when I realized his writing never changes, but that's just me. ^_^

I just started Brave New World. It's an interesting concept, making the entire population basically the same human... multiple sets of twins from the same cell and all... as a twin I find the idea that creating 75 identical twins amusing. Me and my twin are completely different, so... the solidarity of a society built on twins really wouldn't be all that different (besides being the same ethnic group).

but I'm not even sure if that's what the book's about, because I'm only on page 11. XD If it is, though, the author has a very unrealistic concept.

  7. depending on your browser, try clicking the back button instead of refresh, you text will often be there :)

and pteri turning up when i'm doing NC trading is very panic worthy :P

unfortunately the back button doesn't keep my text on this browser, but thanks for the tip. ^^

lol and the NC trading problem is frightening. thank goodness it doesn't happen to me.

  8. Here's something else to ponder. Have you ever been stuck behind a person who insists on reclining their seat? Airplane, bus, train... The seats are so close together, they're practically in your lap? To me, This is almost worse than being squished sideways. Though, the seat reclining thing is a matter of choice. The obese thing... Well, can't exactly be remedied while on an airplane. But in the end, even asking people to not recline their seat doesn't always fix the problem. So should they have to pay for 2 seats as well? The seat they use and the seat behind? I kind of think if you make obese people pay for 2 seats, then chair recliners should have to pay for two seats. What about loud crying children that all the other passengers are forced to put up with in a confined space? Should parents with babies have to pay more? My point here is that during every flight, it's hard to make sure every passenger is completely comfortable. Making certain customers pay more is not right.

I don't think the airlines really want everyone to be comfortable - they want the money that an empty seat (or half an empty seat) is losing them. So, a crying baby will not take up anymore spaces than was already paid for, and, unfortunately, a person reclining doesn't make the seat behind it unavailable.

Then again, if the obese person isn't taking up more than half a chair, technically someone should be able to fit there, too.

I don't really have an opinion for or against it, but I think the airlines are out to make the most money possible, and people taking up extra seats is a cheap way to make more money.

  9. You do have to wait for the page to reload between each click, but besides that I can't help ya. ^^

    So, example:

click 1st cup, page reloads. click 1st cup again, page reloads. Click 1st cup a third time, page reloads. Then try to click the goblet to see if it worked.

    Etc.

I know the first time I went through this plot, I completely missed the correct combination because I was too lazy to click on the goblet each time, so I went through the list twice. I've never tried the html codes, though...

  10. My hobbies are reading and writing... and I play my cello whenever I have time and it's at my house. As for the outdoors, I like riding horses and 4-wheeling, but mostly I stay inside, because I have neither the horse nor the money to do those. =D

I also like singing when no one is listening- although sometimes I'll sing with my boyfriend, or quietly with my mom or dad.

I also like singing, but only in the shower, when i feel like no one can hear me. ^_^

  11. I'm about to read Gypsy Princess by Violet MP Cannon, she is a Romany Gypsy, living in Britain, about 20 I would think and this is her story of growing up as a Gypsy. Looking forward to it, not my normal type of book, but this interests me <3

That sounds really interesting! I heard about that book in my anthropology class two years ago, but I still haven't had the motivation to actually go get a copy... I'll have to check it out. ^_^

  12. Currently I'm listening to "Sail" by Awolnation.

    I am entirely addicted. <3

i LOVE that song!! the rest of the CD is pretty awesome, too, but that one's got to be my favorite. :D

currently, I am listening to Russian roulette - Rihanna. It goes with an awesome horse video:

  13. But my favourite of all is the trilogy ''Divine Comedy''. And I love Greek & Roman literature.

you liked the whole thing? I mean, Purgatory was good (in my opinion), but... The Inferno bored me to death. I mean, I like morbid, revolting things, but it honestly seemed like Dante was just making up symbolic punishments for personal vengeance. Plus, the fact that he was a character in his own story bugged me a little.

Anyway... I'm about to start A Brave New World. Hopefully it's as good (if not better than) Vonnegut's Player Piano. And has anyone read the short story August 2026 by Bradbury? it was awesome. Not that I particularly like Bradbury.

and now i'm going to stop before i start ranting about satire... :*
