Actually you might be better off cutting out candy and eating chocolate sparingly. Dark chocolate has some pretty good health benefits and chocolate in general can get your 'feel good' chemicals going in your brain :) And watch out with your yogurts. Most of the popular brands (Dannon, Yoplait) put a LOT of sugar or artificial sweeteners in their yogurt. Greek yogurt is the healthier choice. Making sure you eat brown rice and whole wheat bread/pasta will also be a health benefit.

As for diets? I've been on a diet almost constantly since I was at least 11. I'm mid-30's now and heavier than ever. So it's good that you're seeing it as a life style change as opposed to a diet. Diet is a four letter word :\

It's been about a week and I'm only about 1/5th of my way to level 50. This might take a while.

Are you able to leave it open? I'm approaching my 24 hour mark for starting the game and i'm already well into lvl 17.

I personally never have and never will use the boards. The few times I've ventured over, I noticed that the average age seemed to be 10, judging by the topics and such. The thing that sealed the deal for me was one time when I DID attempt to use the boards, it wouldn't let me post cause I used the horribly offensive word "balls". As in the plural of ball :| the toy.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I stuck them up on auction for a few days to see if that'll bring any sort of luck. I swear, even though they're supposed to be 'worth' something, it's almost like they're completely worthless :\ It's frustrating.

Well my lab rat got zapped into a Faerie Pteri and I don't really care for the converted ones so I don't want it. But I feel bad zapping it away. Anyone want it? Minus the petpet of course XD You need a trade available and well, just give me whatever you want XD The name kinda sucks and it's level one. First come first serve. :)

Yeah...you're probably right about the prices thing. I checked again on the TP and some other people have added some of the same items as me but with a price so I can work with that. I'm just worried about horribly under pricing and shooting myself in the foot XD

I've been trying to sell some items for a LONG time. Granted, I haven't been listing them constantly but I've had them all on TP multiple times and never even get a bite. Is there some trick? Or is it basically just waiting and hoping someone sees it and makes a decent offer? Some items I'm not even sure what they're worth since other people selling list it as "nm offer".

The items in question are: Popular Neopian Stories, Black Roses, Cookie Tree, Grarrg Stamp, Purple Chia Mirror, Nabile Plushie, and Yellow Healthshroom.

Milo, I've never really found sales to be a good source of income for me. I can't restock worth snot and I can't stand searching for random items for people under-pricing. I dunno, Habitarium so far doesn't seem too bad. I can pretty much leave it running in the background indefinitely and it'll get me SOME money. Apparently that's the best way for me since I suck at games, I suck at stocks and i just in general suck at the site XD

Where's the 'it's complicated' option? XD

I've got Adblock and I HAD ScriptNo but apparently even if I had it enabled but 'paused', Neopets wouldn't let me use the shop wizard anymore. I'll try NotScript and see if it's any better.

Ok this was too weird to explain in the title but like....Chrome has started doing something on NP that's driving me nuts. Any page I leave open on a tab......this is hard to explain B| But I'm gonna try.

Ok, so when you browse you get your history right? I go to the bank, and then the shop wizard and I can just push back once and get back to the bank right? Well not anymore. If I leave a tab open any longer than about 30 seconds, for some reason it makes MULTIPLE copies of the page I'm on in the 'back button history'. Here. I'll just show you XD

It's very annoying and I'm slightly worried that's it's ONLY doing it on Neopets. Is this something normal that I just never noticed before?

I'd actually considered that at one point, splitting it but I dunno.... I'm kinda anal about having everything in one place. It looks more 'impressive' XD Of course, if i'm dirt poor I dunno how impressive that looks.

Just started playing this and I've got a question. People have been mentioning getting locked out? What's that? Is it something that happens if you leave the game open too long or what? And it you DO get locked out...what does that mean? :shiftyeyes_anim:

Wow. I actually had no idea Habitarium even existed XD Shows you how out of the loop I am. Trying it out right now. It seems cute. Leaving it open is good? I can definitely do that.

I'm not sure if that's how it was before they redid the wheels. Now I don't have to click the wheel to claim the prize.. Doing that just shows me what I got or what event happened.

Yeah I just tested it out and you're right. :S Makes me more cautious about doing the Wheel of Misfortune now...

So, I've always been kinda low key with Neopets. I putz around mostly and just do a couple things here and there. But one thing I've always LOVED doing is collecting Advent/Christmas items. And I don't mean just the items given out during Advent each year, but anything at all related to the holiday. But I'm starting to realize there's a problem.

Right now, my gallery is at size 173 and I still need to add the items from this past Advent. Problem is, I used an online calculator to see how much it would cost. Just about 450k. I've already thrown about 3mill into the dang thing and if I do that upgrade I'll be like....penniless. And since the cost increases with each upgrade, it's only gonna get worse every year. To be honest I SUCK at making money on NP. The only reason I EVER had enough to get to where I am today was having a friend leave and give me everything. Normally on sites like this I'd make money through art commissions but...well yeah. Can't do that on NP :|

Basically I want to keep doing this and adding to my collection but I don't see how I'm going to be able to do it. Even doing dailies I'm lucky to pull in 1-2k a day. Yeah I might be able to scrape together enough each year to do the upgrades but that leaves no money for me to use buying other items. Does anyone have any advice to offer? Maybe some ideas on how to make some money? I'll say right now though, games are not an option. For various reasons including my net connection and the fact I absolutely SUCK at all of them XD

I admit that for normal colors, the new draiks look better but for Darigan and Tyrannian? Completely ruined the look. I actually hadn't seen the new Darigan Draik lineart until just now. Both it and the Tyrannian just lose that 'evil' look :\

I have to agree though, after finding a place to view old and new art....the royals DEFINITELY got the short end of the stick.

Ugh I don't even TRY the games anymore. I am so horrible it's not even funny. Anything that's even SLIGHTLY skill based I fail at. All the 'easy' game avatars? Nope. Can't do it. It makes me so mad cause there's SO many game avatars and I can't get hardly any.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but....doesn't it not do anything if you don't 'click to get your prize'? I've had wheels land on crappy spots before, where I'd lose money or items and just closed the tab instead of clicking on it. Never really seen any sign that the bad stuff (or good stuff) happens if you don't claim your prize.

Man, looking through this thread reminded me of how great painted pets used to be. They actually CHANGED the pet entirely. They didn't just slap on a few accessories and change colors. What made it so special was the different lineart. I was lucky enough that none of my Darigan pets got converted and still remain in UC glory, but it's like, what's the point of trying to get more? They look ridiculous and don't have that feeling of being something special and new :\

Neither is the ALP. We're minus a snowbunny. We've got one, just we are wondering if we should age one (which takes a whole year, I think) or someone would be kind enough to donate one to us.

I'd vote for going ahead and starting to age it just in case. And if someone volunteers theirs, no loss :)

I'd offer mine once it hits age but it's attached to my favorite baby bori :(
