I spent 23 tries before beating Kaia on hard and I relied on tips too.  I think using the same tips for easy at your level could work.
My pet's stats were 777HP, 319 Strength and 39 defence, level 5 at the time.  Hard Kaia was 750HP or so and depending on her weapon, she can KO my pet in 2 rounds.  To beat Kaia you need to be able to survive first round without being KO.  Otherwise, it might be very hard to win.
You might wanna get a Ultra Dark Reflectorb, which can reflect the dark icons if Kaia uses her wand WITHOUT the ring.  This is important because the ring is also a reflector and will wreak damage on your pet.  You will need to consider a freezer, preferably a 100% one.  And you can consider getting a thick smoke bomb, which is a 100% shield that's one time use.  As for a healer you may wanna consider the jade elixir which is one time use and costs around 8k but this will give you full heal.  You'll have to cross fingers that Kaia doesn't use her wand near the end to heal because the following strategy might not work out then.
If you can last the first 2 rounds without the freezer you can consider using freezer at third round just before healing as that's a strategy to prevent Kaia's reheal near the end.  This will likely take a lot of tries so you'd have to be prepared to spend on some one-time items.  If you do get throw pillow, that does the same purpose as the freezer.
I suggest using icicles and malum together so you can get more water icons through in case she uses leaf shield.
When I battled her on hard, I did the following but I added other faerie liabilities that you may have at level 49. 
1st round: malum + reflectorb + (positive thinking) [only if Kaia uses wand and no ring, otherwise withdraw from battle]
2nd round: freezer + malum + drizzle
3rd round: malum + blazing embers + icicles
4th round: thick smoke bomb + malum + icicles
5th round: 100% healer + malum + icicles
6th round: malum + shield/reflector (leaf shield or hanso or reflectorb) + positive thinking [hopefully you don't need to do this round but if not you might want to try]
And hopefully you win.  

Hi everyone, just providing a quick update.  So Alice had responded to my tickets just recently and I have regained access to my main.  I'm celebrating now! My ticket was submitted on October 23, 2016 and is officially unfrozen today.
 
I did submit a lot of information but it seems like the MOST important information is the original email that you signed up with for the neopet account.  It is definitely a good idea to log it.  Thankfully, I located the original account activation email so I was able to confirm which email I used.  This is an important piece of information she needs to obtain account owner verification.
 
I still am unclear as to whether there was suspicious activity since my NC items seem to be moved around; I'll need a few days to figure out if anything is missing.  But definitely do not lose hope if you are hoping to regain access to your account.  I just posted my ticket to the help board and that was all I did.  I was going to try out posting on Facebook but I didn't.  I did also update my ticket twice since my first submission for additional information.

Got my main back yesterday!Apparently my ISP was blocking the password reset emails..Alice had to send me the new one through the support email

I submitted a ticket since October and no response since then.  I am certain my account is frozen.  And it was shocking too because I was literally on the site the day before.  Since I save my password to the browser I was surprised I was logged out but didn't think much of it since it has happened before when my auto log-in gets reset.  But I was actually told I had a bad password.  Then I tried resetting the password.  Except I used another email address since I didn't trust Neopet's security so I avoided using my real email thus as a result the email I used (which I thankfully still remembered) was actually deactivated since it was out of use for so long.  After I finally regained access, I could reset the password except it doesn't work even though it "reset" it.
 
That's when I decided to go to my side and search my main and found it disabled, which is just shocking since I was literally still "active" although I was mainly doing dailies.  If I had done something wrong, wouldn't there be a warning first?  The only thing I can think of is someone hacked my account since my main has all my np, items and neocash.
 
Because I had done everything on my main including my avvie collection.  I do not want to give it up yet.  Because I definitely refuse to restart since current Neopets just isn't like it was before.  The only thing keeping me there is collecting interest and being able to play with my neocash collection, and trying to get more avvies.

I know back in the day, the rule of the thumb was to sell at 60 but I've stopped doing that since I don't check my stocks daily then I might as well maximize so I've been selling at over 100/share or whatever I think would be the maximum for that particular stock since I always buy only at 15/share. But because I've created a large portfolio, I'm kinda indifferent about it compared to before where I would see at 60. My portfolio is currently more in the green than the red because of the stock diversity.
 
Though I get what you mean, I haven't been playing games and have just been collecting interest. And even then I don't collect interest everyday.  So now I go for the long wait instead as it takes me a while to get like more than 10,000 units for each stock. None of mine are over 20,000. My goal would be to increase from 10,000 to 20,000 so when the price does get that high, I can actually reap in benefits.
 
As for stock buying, instead of using funds from the bank, one of the way is to sell enough stocks that are making any money to get 15k and then reinvest. You don't lose and you translate that gain you earn as additional investment. But it will really screw with your portfolio diversity but that's one way to reinvest without additional cash flow.

I certainly grew quite a bit in a year, I got over 300 more strength, 100 defense, 200 speed, 150 hp, my battledome set is 10x better, (Reif, Bag of Healing Dust, Kelpbeards) from just dual stone foam fingers and a 60 hp healer. Also I've gained over 200 avatars again and I'm working on them daily when I get the chance

lol Sounds like you made a good effort summertwinkle! She beat me the first few times too the last time I fought her. Though that was in the old BD, and my Peophin's weakness to fire was in-play back then too. (Species used to have different elemental strengths and weaknesses in the old BD.)
 
But yeah! A little research and some more planning, I'm sure you'll get the win! :) Part of the fun, imho, of battling a more powerful opponent is the effort and work that results in the win, not just the win itself. :)

Story: I wasn't really into battledome until I started trying to complete the Defenders of Neopia series. Unfortunately, I'm stuck and can't progress because I do not have snow beast. But thanks to that series, I was able to participate in the Obelisk War where as I totally sat out during the Faerie's Ruin.  Now I have decided to seriously train a battle pet with more even stats, but without the help of a lab ray. Pudding_Bbt got to where he/she is because of the lab ray. The lab ray is a double edged sword; it's the reason why he/she has hardly any faerie abilities he/she can use, with her levels always being reduced back to 1 at some point. And it is also because of the lab ray that his/her gender is confused. But I really love the choice of wardrobe of wigs and dresses in the NC mall so I always dress her up as a girl.  I have currently dressed her in holiday themed battle gear and she's ready to take down space faerie in all of her candy cane glory.  Now if only the snow beast and space faerie are ready to take her head on!
