I've never received anything from a stranger though.

Yes, it's similar to Maractite BUT more choice is better than none!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think 'ancient evil alien artifacts' in that guide for the game refers to a group of 'evil alien' themed items, not one in particular.

However I firmly believe that it is one of those extremely unfair systems which favours some users over others.... Some of my friends keep getting random events and avatars but I have almost none D:

The thing with dailies is that you get useless items for months on end and when you are about to give up you get something great which encourages you to go through more months of useless clicking......or that's how it works for me, anyway. ^_^
