I think I've encountered a glitch! So it's my first time on neopets after a couple months, so I was exploring the headquarters area. I went into the infirmary and saw the meerca and fyora there. I gave the Meerca two potions and got one of the achievement prizes. Then, I went into the woods for the first time and saw the hooded figure and all, but back at the infirmary, it's still the meerca and fyora. So basically, I never had the chance to heal the Jetsam, and I don't even think I'm supposed to see fyora in the infirmary at all because I haven't gone into the woods for the second time yet. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

hmm yeah, those are some good ideas... I was inspired to start up battledome training after the Faerie Ruins plot (how long has it been??) because of the crazy inflation of all BD-related items. Sigh, I missed the Obelisk plot while I was on my hiatus.. I guess I can't "stick" to neopets because of my affinity for story/goal-oriented simulations (also reason for existential crisis).

Does anyone here know approximately how often TNT does plots?

I've been easing myself back into Neopets after a hiatus (on-and-off relationship :p), but I see myself waning out again... I just don't know what to do on here?

My "goal" is to get enough NPs to buy a really good BD set, but I just hit my 2 mill NP mark, and I realized how long it took me to get to this point. While playing games is probably the most reliable way to make money, 2 hours of straight-Flash-games begins to lose its appeal, ya feel?

So, I'm basically asking two questions:

• What do you guys do on Neopets to entertain yourselves?
• What are your main NP earning methods/how do you mix it up so you don't get bored?

So, I was on a hiatus, but recently I've been gradually getting back in the swing of things. Usually nothing ever happens to me - and the best RE-kind-of-thing that's ever happened to me was finding a piece of the secret lab.

But all in one day, suddenly...

• "Something Has Happened! An Alien Aisha approaches and hands you Grubs in Cheese. Gross"
• "Something Has Happened! Coltzan's beloved pet, Sparky, has ascended. In honour of Sparky, Coltzan has presented you with a winged likeness of his beloved Petpet."
• Won some "Black Blocks" from Kiko Pop on Standard
• Won 1000 NP and a Ptolymelon from the Fruit Machine
• Won 106 NP and 2 Gross Foods from Tombola
• Got "Bag of Peanuts" from the Wishing Well (my second time trying)
• Got 29824NP from Food Club (not really noteworthy but I don't usually get anything from this aspect :P)

I know a lot of the items here aren't really of worth (asides from Wishing Well), but this never happens to me, especially in such a concentrated time frame! Does TNT ever randomly increase the "luck factor" for its users?

Hello! Until relatively recently, I've been on a hiatus. Now that I'm coming back, I've kind of been lost as to what to do on Neopets.

As we're coming to the end of 2013, I've been thinking about what I want to accomplish on Neopets, and that brought me to New Years Resolutions. I really want to learn to master Food Club/Stock Market (and maybe restocking) as a way of earning more NP so that I can pad up my pet's Battledome stats/weapons (why does the Hidden Tower have to be so expensive?!)

What do you guys want to accomplish in 2014?

Hello! I feel like this discussion is kind of dead, but hopefully I can revive it? I'm a newbie to the Food Club and I've read the TDN guide to it, but it just seems so confusing :S.

I was wondering what kinds of bets you guys are placing, and if you have any pointers for a novice like me? Thanks :)

I always buy whatever I have the least of at 15. xD And then I wait to sell until it's at LEAST at 60np a share.

 

My biggest suggestion for you is to start buying daily, and always buy 1000 shares. If you had done that with KSON you'd be looking at a REALLY nice chunk of NP, rather than less than 3k. :) Always try to buy at 15, since it's the lowest amount you can buy at, and so you'll get the greatest return when it hits your sell point of ~whatever~. haha. 60 is a common sell point, since it's 300% increase on your initial investment (assuming a 15NP investment). Some people, if they need the NP more quickly for a paintbrush or whatever, will sell at 30 or 45, since it's still a nice return on your investment, but stocks reach it more quickly than 60. :)

My stocks aren't doing so great right now, but not too long ago I sold 20k stocks and got a profit of 1.5million or so? Something like that. :)

Oh, thank you for the great advice! Yeah, when I finally revisited the stock market I was just staring at KSON and thinking "what if..."

I've always been confused as to how people can usually make at least 50k+ off the SM and I hope I'm one of them... Now it's time to master Food Club!

I'm fairly new to the stock market, and I was wondering what's the usual for # of shares bought, # of np paid, and when's a good time to sell? So far my strategy has just been clicking around the things that have a plus sign... :

Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to what to invest? This is what I have currently...

I'm thinking it's time to sell KSON since it's dropping? I bought KSON, POWR, and SWNC before my hiatus (which was a year ago ish) and before I read any guides and stuff :P

I've gotten a Virtupets Energy Sabre... On the Shop Wiz it's worth like 5np, and it only deals the icons + .

So yeah, pretty bad :/

So I just came back to Neopets after a really long hiatus, and I realized that my account was in the all-clear for the Almost Abandoned Attic!
I went in the items kind of sucked so far, so I refreshed not 3 seconds later, and it's restocked with goodies.

I went to the bottom of the page and I saw a Gnarrl Enchantress Wig that only cost approximately 3000np. I'm not really into the customizing business, so I just moved on, not really recognizing it

Later when I checked the trading post, I found out that it was worth at least 200K. I'm going to backflip off a building I swear oh my god I'm still grimacing in pain.

Do any of you guys have these moments? (especially restocking pains)

I have a lot of trouble with avatars because so many of them involve spending neopoints. I'm not very rich here on neopets, so I have to spend my neopoints very sparingly, especially because I'm saving up for a lot different things. The only avatar that I feel extremely fortunate to have is the Deadly Dice avatar - got it on my first try :D

I'm sad to see you go, I wish we could have got to known each other better :( But if you have any spare Codestones or Dubloons, can you please send them my way? If you don't, I can also set up some things on the trading post where you can offer some NP on it...? I feel ashamed to ask you this because you're leaving, but I'm trying to save up for a lot of different things at the moment, and anything little helps. Thank you!

I actually really like how the woodland koi looks. It's much more interesting and spruces up than many of the other woodland pets I've seen. The eventide koi looks alright... I'm not a big fan of the eventide color in the first place so yeah xD

I just got a Dark Faerie Quest! This is the first time I got one since the Faerie Quest event where they gave out quests everyday for a month. She asked for a Day Dreaming Nimmo Gnome Balloon, and that just saved me at least 4000NP x)

I always found a lot of petpets (if you count them as items) really gorgeous (+adorable!)

Hmm, I think I'd have to choose Gelerts. However, if we were talking about back when all the pets were unconverted, I'd have to choose Kyrii. UC Royal girl/boy Kyriis are just gorgeous.

I was just browsing through all the topics and saw this one, and my immediate reaction was "wahh?! :S" I don't even know where to look for it :P

Oh, I can't say that this ever happened to me, although I do see how it would grind your gears. First of all, I'm not lucky enough to find something that's worth selling, nor am I rich enough to buy something that's worthwhile and be able to sell it xD

It just sucks when I have my eye on something, and that I just need to make a little more NP to buy it, and when I have the NP, it's gone up by at least 10,000 NP.

It's really hypocritical (for lack of a better word) of TNT for them to first create things like the Wheel of Extravagance as an NP sink, and then reduce the value of items by a lot. I feel really bad for those people who have been saving their PDE to sell for a greater price, only to have them drop so low xD

Right now, I'm just waiting for the value of a Faerie PB to go back up so I can sell it and make some profit x)

I think it's pretty worth it. I spent around 707,000 buying the pieces that I were missing. I got Sentinae ( a Xweetok) zapped Faerie after around 2 weeks of zapping my pets, which is one of my dreamies :) I also got my Shoyru zapped Desert, which is ok, but come to think of it... I'd bet he'd look really good Wraith.

Haha, a PDE is a Pirate Draik Egg. Right now, Anchor Management and the Forgotten Shore are my top two dailies because they're my only hope of getting a Draik xD
