  1. I am completely up-to-date with the plot steps through "The Infirmary, Part 3". But, when I try and go to Kaia for the fourth location that will unlock Hulking Wraith as a battledome opponent, the Mystic Murmurs page is stuck on the answer I got to get the Wind Rider Wraith. I've already obtained this opponent and battled to 100% in achievements. I don't know if this is a glitch other people are experiencing, or if I've missed something, but any help would be appreciated.

  2. We need to read To Kill A Mockingbird for English class this year. I want to read more books (still need to read the Discworld!) but unfortunately I need to read at least 3 books for my project and two more for Dutch class, not forgetting English and German literature. Sigh.

Discworld is an amazing series, I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I am finally getting around to reading Gone Girl. I never saw the movie, but my friend insisted the book was far superior so I'm taking a crack at it.

  3. These are just a few items that make me laugh:

    Slightly Trampled Omelette
No worries, it still looks pretty good!

    Suspiciously Unwrapped Candy

How convenient, someone unwrapped it for you!

  4. I'm current;y reading Hannibal - Thomas Harris, The Fellowship of the Ring - Tolkien, A Streetcar Named Desire - Tennessee Williams, and The Exorcist - William Blatty. Every now and again I'll read a poem or two from Robert Frost, James Andrew Crosby, or Wilfred Owens.

I've tried reading All the Light we Cannot See - Anthony Doerr recently with little success. Does anyone else find it to be a difficult read?

Tennessee Williams is one of my favorite playwrights! If you like ASND, you should definitely try Glass Menagerie.

I am currently reading "I am Malala" a memoir by Malala Yousafzai. It's an emotional read, but well worth it thus far!

  5. My favorite is definitely wheel of mediocrity. Am I the only one who feels like that specific wheel is really profitable? I like how it costs very little but you can occasionally win a couple thousand NPs. It's great haha.

I think it's really interesting that multiple people agree with this, I never would have guessed that any of the wheels have an overall profitable feel to them. I've only been playing the wheels I don't have the avatars for yet.

I start out first with the igloo and grab something to sell, I feed my neopets, then I play Fashion Fever:

then I go onto the dailies page over here and I go to the following:

    -Giant Jelly (doesn't exist)

I see what you did there  :laughingsmiley:

Here's my list, I use TDN dailies, but I skip some:

    • I always start with the Bank to collect my interests, then Giant Jelly and Omelette.
    • Money Tree to get old rotten shoes/boots/sandals for my rubbish avatar.
    • The shop of offers and shop till.
    • Petpet Park (nice way to win NPs sometimes) and Anchor Management.
    • Grave Danger, and I used to go to Apple Bobbing, but I stopped once I got the avatar.
    • Tombola and Coltzan's Shrine, although lately i've been getting a lot of 'aww, nothing happened'  :shiftyeyes_anim:
    • Sometimes Fruit Machine, and raaaarely Deadly Dice, since it's 5 am for me lmao.
    • TDMBGPOP and Underwater Fishing (I WANT THOSE AVATARS!)
    • Forgotten Shore for nice nps or morphing potions.
    • Then I do the daily puzzle
    • I check the magma pool to know what's my time, and ugh I still don't know!
    • And finally some games like Fashion Fever and Meerca Chase.

That would be it. I stopped with the stocks since I never really earn a lot and the wheels when I have like 1000 nps in hand haha

EDIT: omg Laurel! I just realized it was you who started this hahaha ilyy

A lot of my dailies have been focused on avatars too, I'm trying to expand what I do with dailies to be more than avatar disappointment. I'm also really jealous of your apple bobbing avatar. (Also, hi lovie  <3)

  6. I bought a new HP laptop this spring with windows 7 professional. Over the last month or so I've been getting the pop ups to 'pre-reserve' and it's been telling me how it's completely free to upgrade for my machine, but as an earlier poster said I'm worried that it will wipe my computer when it installs so I'm hesitant to do it that way. I think the look of it seems familiar enough that I would be fine transitioning otherwise, and I'm looking forward to the virtual desktops feature!

  7. As a long time Neopian I've found that the dailies I do and the frequency at which I do them has fluctuated drastically through out the years. I've decided to reassess my dailies recently and I'm curious to see what other people feel are the dailies that are completely necessary to do on a daily basis. which ones are your favorite or least favorite? do you have ones you feel you profit from more than others? are there any activities you consider 'dailies' that others might not view as a traditional daily? I would love to hear about everyone else's routine and see what people are doing and suggesting as I alter my own.

  8. Congratulations on the new avatar and trophy!

I randomly got that avatar + a bronze trophy a while back, but I'd love to be able to remember to check the contest and improve my trophy.

When I tried for the Feed Florg avatar I'd never played it seriously and didn't think I'd get it, but I got it on the first try! That's the best one I remember.

  9. At first I read that as "an orange butterfinger" and I was like, "what in the world is that?" ...but then I read it again  :rolleyes_anim:

I ate a boring old bagel for breakfast, but I'm currently making chicken enchiladas for dinner and the whole house smells spicy and yummy.

  10. Aww! You have a cute look going so far! It looks as though you're only customizing with Neopoints items, so I would suggest that you add the Meerca Nominee Wig and Meerca Maid Shoes for a little extra pizzazz.

Also, maybe consider swapping out the Gormball Field Flowers Foreground for Negg Hunt Foreground or Flower Petal Foreground? I feel like the colors in those foregrounds would go better with your look than the red does.

  11. There are some very beautiful items in neopia.  Here are some of my favourites:

Wow! Those neggs are incredible. I have never paid much attention to Neggs past trading in the ones I've received as prizes. I love all of the sparkle  :wub_anim:

I am not so impressed with the 8th birthday items this year, but look at how pretty the cake was last year:

  12. I was gifted Amy Poehler's book "Yes Please" this past Christmas, but my Spring semester was so hectic I had zero time for pleasure reading. Now that it's summer I've been blazing through books, and so far it's a great read!

  13. My grandfather was visiting me for the last two weeks and he taught me how to make his potato salad, which has been a summer staple in my family ever since I can remember. I now have a huge bowl of it in my fridge and I'm eating some of it as we speak. Yum.
