I think I noticed this happening before AC started. My friends and I were playing because of the prizes. However, we stopped getting PBs or map pieces. Since AC was starting, I focused my attention to that instead of KQ, so I don't know if they changed it or not.

When you accept Illusen to so level 35, she starts asking for r99 items. A huge portion of r99 items are UB. Unless you are lucky enough to be asked for an item that is buyable from the Shop Wizard or know someone that has an r99 gallery, you will most likely fail at level 35. This is why Honey Potion is fairly expensive.
For levels 34 and under, she asks for r98s and lower. If you are unlucky, you might get asked for an UB before level 35. So it's a judgment call to see if you want to continue her quest.

Games are one way to go. There are a few guides around that show you how to get like 30k a day. Its slow, but steady.
You can invest in the stock market. You can purchase 1000 shares a day. Another easy way to gain money, but a long term investment.
You can also try some luck at some Luck games, like Coconut Shy or Black Pawkeet Slots.
If you are quick enough and have a decent amount of money, you can try restocking at Magic or Book Shop.

Well, when I bought and attached the 2 cheapest green beads, within 2 days, I received a total of 5 Faerie Quests, one of which was a Fountain Faerie. But that was just me. Prior results do not guarantee future results. If you do not get an increase in REs, don't ask me.
