Guest Krawk Islander Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 After a long wait (well it felt really long), you can now SIGN UP for the 3rd annual Altador Cup! Now, there are some major revamps, which is the case of Yooyuball. The game is harder to score, it's got a better layout, and you can now see the players as they were drawn (i.e. Dasher Soley shows up as a Krawk). So get practicing, because the games start Tuesday! We now have a different tournament structure. Indeed, TNT decided to keep the usual Double Round Robin style for the first 30 days of the competition, but then instead of the top 4 playing and the others being eliminated, there will be groups. This means that groups ranked 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16 after DRR will have the chance to see who is the best in their group. Allow me to explain with an example: imagine Maraqua gets ranked 6th after DRR. This means that they will compete between teams ranked 5th to 8th, with the best playing the worse, and the two middles teams playing each other. The best team (the one with the most wins against each other in the final group phase) will be crowned champion of its group, and the same applies to the worse. This is implemented so everyone can play with their team from start to finish. The four leading teams overall will still be in contention for a place on the Altador Cup winners' pedestal, but now, a fourth place team could sneak to the top on two wins, and emerge victorious! Also, within the next few days be sure to keep and eye right here on our Altador Cup Coverage, because we will begin our Daily Predictions! See who we think will win each match, each day. It's going to be super awesome and you won't want to miss it.

Crusher Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I'd like to add that the up arrow DOES NOT WORK. Use the shift key instead, the same as last year :). This is either a typo for TNT or they forgot to change the key layout. =Cameron=
m3l3ana Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 No it is suppose to look like that. It is because if you look at the shift key it has the outline of an arrow before the word shift??!! I figured that one out straight away :) But I am absolutely no good at Yooyuball, shocking in fact :(
Ms.Nikki Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I'm so excited even though we really don't get to play till the 17th. Though the game doesn't seem the much harder than before, I prefer not having to press F11 to see the whole screen. Anyways practice...but not so much that you get tired of the game.

I figured that one out straight away :) But I am absolutely no good at Yooyuball, shocking in fact :( The shift key has the outline of an up arrow, so that's the key to press, since I can confirm it works. Regarding YYB, it's not as easy as before, but its much more fun. :P
Xepha Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 YYB is harder to control and because they removed the guideline on the field (aka the lines in front of the goals), it's harder to time yourself to shoot! The size of the game is not a problem for me as my monitor (and screen resolution) are big. I remember it was covering all my screen last year... or most of it. I like the new animations (loading and the kickoff). :) Great job TNT.

I hope tey come out with some more AC wearables, prefferably NOT Mall items; I have literally no money this month so I can't buy more NeoCash and I only have 100.
