Scarebear
I started working on this last night, and inked and started to shade today. I still have a lot to do, I still have to add some shadows and highlights in the right spots. I think the background may take me the longest to complete because it will be quite complicated. I wanted to go with an Marquan/Atlantian theme and make city tower/spires in the background under water with some cliffs... hopefully I can do it. I also realized I need to do the bangles and the tail ring still. Here it is :) The front legs and paws (and the rest of the paws) look a bit odd but it is too late in the game to redraw them... Design is of my Kougra Raynibella :)

Scarebear
so so so good! yu are a very good artist! you should join the contest! Wow thanks! :D Is there a contest every month or only months that there are a holiday? Just wondering. I never really thought of myself is a very good artist :P It's probably because ever time I enter the BC I get my butt kicked XD Thanks :D Gives me a little confidence when I enter this one into the BC next week :) Did you see last weeks peophin submissions in the BC? Amazing pieces of artwork. One of them got 2nd overall. Very amazing. I hope my piece of art comes out as amazing as theirs. :)
DOOM Bringer
Wow :O ! That is seriously amazing artwork, I can't believe you get your butt kicked in the BC. Wow! Congrats, that is really great stuff!
Xepha
I love that artwork... really pretty, with maraquan style :) If you ever need a BC vote, make sure to poke me ;)
DOOM Bringer
Same here, you would definitely have my vote! You should enter that artwork into the BC for next week or something, I think its good enough!
nannerz
It's gooogeous! I love the colour and shading ^^ As for BC...sadly it is less of an art contest and more of a popularity contest. The really key factor to winning is to advertise, and it is pretty much independent of the quality of the image. I have seen many pretty crappy images win and it's so infuriating...but when my friends ask for a vote, I always give it regardless :P
antiaircraft
I generally look for creativity in images which I vote for in the BC. In any case, that artwork is spectacular! If you're looking for a BC vote, you've definitely got one from me.
Scarebear
Thank you everyone! :D I will certainly tell you when I enter it into the BC :) I appreciate all your sweet comments. I know what you mean nannerz. I noticed that not all the art that wins is even that good. These people probably have a lot of neofriends and ask them to vote, and/or are part of guild that they are well known in and get all their guild members to vote for them. It's actually quite ingenious... in an evil way (because some of us are not into guilds) Although I see the advantage in knowing a lot of people who are willing to vote a, having good art also has its advantages too, especially with the manual voters ;)
nannerz
A ton of votes come from advertising on chat boards as well, as many a friend of mine have also advertised there. And yes, having a popular guild/lots of neofriends definitely helps. :P It really depends on what you have at your disposal and if you're willing to use it. I just wouldn't feel right advertising it say, in my shop or something, as some of my friends that have a mall shop do. :P

I sometimes put a link to my entry in my shop, but I actually only did that once. I didn't do it this past time because I was too lazy :P and I actually got less votes this past time than the time before so it might have actually helped. nannerz
Well advertising anywhere *should* help, and if you have a big enough shop, it'll help substantially. Standard mall shops listed in the marketplace should easily get traffic of 300 hits per day. :P My friend said he got a lot of hits from putting the "Vote for Me' link in his shop. I wouldn't want to do it only because it would detract from the experience for the customer. :P
