antiaircraft
I'll pass on this one - I've heard it before. And I don't require any prize. Solving the riddles and such is a reward enough for me. :)
Myriad
It isn't 'You are a liar', but that's close. AA, are you sure you don't want a prize?
antiaircraft
Yup, absolutely sure. Unless you happen to have an SuAP lying around? :P
ishamaria
If it isn't you are a liar is it I'm a liar?
Myriad
Er, no, I don't have a SuAP. :( I guess you're saving up for one? And it also isn't I'm a liar, the fist word of it is 'I've'.
DOOM Bringer
Uh I'm gonna take a random guess and say 'I've lied' or 'I've is a liar'?
Myriad
Erm, no. The sentence has seven words, and the last word is you.
Izzy ♥
Oh! Oh! Its "I've made a liar out of you"! Because it starts with YOU and "I've" makes the changes so it becomes A LIAR. That was a good one!
antiaircraft
Er, no, I don't have a SuAP. :( I guess you're saving up for one? That was a joke. Super Attack Peas are too big a prize for a measly puzzle solver like me. :P And congrats on solving that one Isabel!
Myriad
Yes, Congratulations! This next one is kind of Trivia/Riddle. My life begins far above the ground, Though below the ground life I may give. When I come down to greet the ground, A thunderous noise I will make. A tasty treat to many I provide, But only if they have the tools to get me. The macaw is one, The agouti is another. Without the aid of the agouti, My circle of life may never be completed, And the forest I am part of would lose a valued member. So watch out below when it's time for me to go, Or an injury I will give you.
Ryuuk
Way too easy. It's a Brazil nut! They grow in Castana pods, and when they're heavy enough, they'll fall from the branches. They can get to be up to 5 pounds! The sound they make is really loud when they fall, and they're too hard for normal animals to break open. Only two animals, the Macaws and Agoutis animals have the ability to crack into the hard pod of the nut. The Agoutis like these nuts but because of their bad memory, they often forget where they hide them, which adds to the life of the Castana trees, the creator of the brazil nut. Every nut forgotten by the Agoitis can grow into a brand new Castana tree! Man, I never thought that my interest in wildlife and nature would come in handy! Goes to show how great it is to be a geek! ~.^
antiaircraft
Yum. I love brazil nuts. :D But I don't think I could have gotten that riddle.
Myriad
Corret! Great job explaining th answer too. Will you rhyme with me? Or shall I rhyme with you? 3 words I am, but say me and you could mean any it is true. I am more than 1, and less than many And other times I am more than plenty With one tiny word, I can bring people places and things together Can you figure this riddle before you reach the end of your tether? Ryuuk
At first I thought it was "I love you" but it said it RHYMES with 'you' and not that it IS 'you'. Is the answer "Few"? "Few" is more than one, but less than many. It also means 3 or more.
Myriad
No, it isn't "I Love You", but the answer has 3 words in it.
Ryuuk
Then I have no idea XD I've been working on this riddle for a day now ><
Strategos
Erm, is the answer "to", "two", and "too"? That fits the riddle as far as I read it. Oh, and one more thing. Could you update my total on the front page if it isn't too much a bother? I've gotten 3, but if I get this one right, It's 4.
Myriad
Yes, that answer is right. Sorry I didn't update your scores earlier, I'll do it straight away. This next one is pretty easy, but I guess everyone likes easy questions. :) "I was standing outside the store waiting for my husband to bring the car around, when all of a sudden a man, I didn't see anything but his back, snatched my purse!" The woman was furiously telling the police officers the story of her purse snatching. A supposed witness, who claimed he had been sitting on a nearby bench, told what he had seen. "This woman was standing about 4 feet in front of me, holding a few shopping bags, plus her purse. A large man dressed in jeans, a black shirt, and leather coat snatched her purse and hurried into the fire escape door on the side of the building." A few hours later the purse was found in the witness' car and he was arrested. How did the police know he was the purse snatcher?
DOOM Bringer
I'll take a guess and say they knew it was him because he lied in his story about the fire escape door. They only open from inside... I could be wrong, but that seemed to stand out to me *shrugs*
Ryuuk
Fire escapes can only be opened from the inside. Either he had some help from inside or he was lying, which I'm going towards the second one. The thief hid the purse in his car, no doubt.
ishamaria
If those answers were wrong I'll take a wild guess... he was wearing jeans, a black shirt, and leather coat?
Myriad
Yeah, fire escapes only open fron the inside, and Doom was the first to say it. How do these equations work? Sock + Pants = T-shirt Hat + Skirt = Shorts Sweater - Shoe = Underwear
Ryuuk
Oo! I know this one! I read up on Brain Teasers the other day at the library! It represents how many HOLES are for your body parts! A sock as 1, pants have 3, which means there are 4 holes in the TShirt. Hat has 1, a skirt has 2 which means there are 3 holes in a pair of shorts. A sweater has 4, and a shoe has 1 hole, which means that there are 3 holes in a pair of underwear. Am I right? Tell me I'm right!
antiaircraft
You seem pretty right to me. :D I can't think of any other valid solution anyway...
