You break out into a sweat, unsure about where to go, feeling the claustrophobia set in. The walls grow up and up, until the Sun becomes blocked out. As you collapse in peril, the maze seals itself around you. You are trapped like a rat. Scenario continued for Boomer, Smumpkins, Aang, Luna: The writhing maze begins to warp itself, changing and morphing into different shapes. You spy an exit from the corner of you eye, and run with all your might, screaming as a vine whips out from the noxious plant and shoots after you. Throwing yourself at the exit, you spin around and block the vine, which slams against your foreleg, bouncing off but leaving a nasty gash. Tenderly, you lick at the wound and gasp as it miraculously disappears. A voice startles you, and it is one you wish you didn’t know. “Congratulations, you’ve passed my little challenge.†You look up at the being, a smug grin on its face. Azar. Scenario continued for Shattered_Ribbon: You don’t panic at all as the maze closes itself around you, completely aware of your invulnerability. You simply pass through the side of it, unscathed by the metal-like bush, and reappear on the other side. You smile, and prepare yourself for a hunt. Scenario continued for Isabel: You ride the currents, feeling inquisitive as you watch the mortals scamper below you. Interested, you peer at Eclipse in particular, fascinated by her impenetrable skin. She simply glides through the wall without a scratch. You point you finger down upon them, and it begins to glow a soft blue. Suddenly, two beams shoots from it and hit their targets dead on. RHINOS Slazator (Strategos) Tiger Rathunta (Luna) attacks! Rathunta’s Power = 25. Slazator’s Defence = 20. Damage done = -5. Wolf Boomer (Boomer) attacks! Boomer’s Power = 22. Slazator’s Defence = 20. Damage done = -2. Total Health: -7 Adjusted Health: 73 Smumpkinator (Smumpkins) Panther Trisha (Trisha) attacks! Trisha’s Power = 25. Smumpkinator’s Defence = 20. Damage done = -5. You return to your territory to rest and lick your wounds, instead of going hunting. = +15 Total Health: +10 Adjusted Health: 125 TIGERS Rathunta (Luna) You get slammed in the back and fall over unceremoniously. You turn on the foul opponent that dared do this, but no one is there. = -5 Total Health = -5 Adjusted Health: 48 PANTHERS Trisha (Trisha) Elephant Parshy Monkey (Aang) attacks! Parshy Monkey’s Power = 10. Trisha’s Defence = 5. Damage done = -5. A strange warmth spreads across your body, and you suddenly feel joyful and energised! =+5 Total Health = -0 Adjusted Health = 49 WOLVES Boomer (Boomer) Zombie Panther Eclipse (Shattered_Ribbon) attacks! Eclipses’s Power = 25. Boomer’s Defence = 8. Damage done = -17. Total Health = -17 Adjusted Health: 81 ELEPHANTS Parshy Monkey (Mr. Kuu) No one attacks! Scenario #6: The Code Azar cackles as you cautiously approach him, well aware that running would be futile. It's been several days since the maze incident, and you're beginning to wonder if you should try and get off the island, what with all the mysterious things going on. Some sort of plague seems to be spreading through the plants, turning them black and making them inedible. In addition to this, Azar's creatures have started to patrol more of the island, making matters even more complicated. “What do you want, Azar? How many times do we need to destroy you?†“You brutish oafs! You think that through your simple-minded assaults you can defeat me? True power comes only in the mind, and it is yours that I will challenge today.†Azar seemingly grabs at the air around you, and to your shock you begin to be dragged towards what appears to be a boulder of some sort, with various characters etched into it. It appears as though he has grasped the very gravity around you. Perhaps he is stronger than you thought. You look across, noticing that each of the other 6 are standing at a rocky mound too, clearly as clueless as you are. You notice the panther and rhino that never made it out of the maze, wondering how they escaped. They look odd, a strange pale tone is spread over their skin. Then you realise that they aren’t what they seem to be, they are merely holograms. “They must still be in the maze,†you mutter, suddenly aware that they appear to be actually looking at you, as though they were really there. You think, “How many powers does this Azar have?†only now realising that he could mean destruction for all of you. For now though, you have no choice but to do what he orders, however much you resent that fact. “This isn’t over.†“Greetings, creatures of the Island. In front of you there is a stone tablet, containing a code. Those that can decipher the message will be allowed to continue with their journey, however those that cannot will be locked in the maze, and it is a maze of perils, believe me. If Slazator or Trisha manage to complete it, they will be set free. That maze will almost definitely be your death. It does not welcome visitors.†Suddenly realising the urgency of the puzzle, you look down at the script before you. “For those who can comprehend this message, a great reward awaits. HECYR8 EAPYQHLFU 5SB D3PK5EX Say the answer and the reward will be yours.†You sit down on the ground, “This is going to take awhile.†HINTS 1. The key to cracking this code is in the code itself. It's the only number that's repeated twice! 2. The solution is two words. 3. There may be random characters in the code which are placed to make it harder to crack. 4. There may be spaces placed which are irrelevant, you may need to delete them in order to have 2 words. 5. The answer is the title of a movie. Spend as long as you can on this puzzle, for freedom from the malicious overgrown weed that is the Maze is worth your character's life itself. PM the answer to Bronchitis Boy, NO FIGHTING THIS ROUND. The next contest's name is being decided now, Wildife 2 is simply a codename! *mysterious glance* Signups will be in the near future, before this contest ends, so we know what numbers we have to work with.
