Cannot Enter Neopets Classic

I started an account when my son was eight. we stopped playing years ago. he's now 22 and wanted to play with our old pets. i looked up the old username and password and got in. Our three pets were still there, but they were dying. I used all the cash we had to buy cheap hotdogs, but ran out of cash and only got one of the three from "dying" to "Very Hungry" - i tried to play games but the scores wouldn't register, and every game referred me back to Neopets Classic. But the Classic site refuses to recognize my password and won't let me in. THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING. What do I do now???

How did you go about switching to the classic site? Because I just went back and forth, and didn't have to enter my password at all. (Just in case you did it differently, the way to switch to the classic site while you're logged into the beta version, is to click on your pet's picture in the top left corner of the screen, and pick 'view classic site' from the menu that appears. I don't recall ever having to re-enter my password while doing that.)

The beta version is definitely a work in progress. They are in the process of converting the games, but right now it does appear as though many can't be played yet. As for NeoPoints: you should get a notification from Trudy's Surprise each day (regardless of which version of the site you're using), which is a really quick and eays way to get points. (And if you don't have any NP right now, you can always visit the Soup Faerie to feed your pets.)
