What to paint my Kiko?

So I was bored today (finished all my dailies, did a little shopping) and decided to troll the pound to see if there were any needy pets I'd like to give a home. I managed to find a Kiko, level 3! While his name (Wratewr) leaves a lot to be desired a Kiko has been one of dream pets since way back when I made my very first account! Wratewr finishes off my 4 pets, 2 made 2 adopted, all of which are some of my favorite species of Neopets. The only thing I don't LOVE about wratewr is his color. I wanted to start out my pets with having 2 male 2 female (check!) and 1 of each color. Unfortunately I already have a blue, green, and yellow pet and Wratewr is green as well. I still have my two starter paint brushes (red and yellow) so I thought about just painting him red. But then I remembered have 2 paintbrushes I received from REs (Christmas and Camouflage). I love both of these colors on Kikos (actually I love almost all colors on them). My original plan was to start each of my dream pets as a basic color and choose their color and customization based on each of their individual personalities and wait until I had enough NP to afford those customizations. So I don't want to jump too quickly to painting Wratewr to a specialty color when I just brought him home. So I just wanted to ask the TDN  community if you have any ideas/advice.

DID YOU MEAN YOUR KIKO WIZARD???  I have always wanted to design a kiko into a wizard so I say Christmas....

If you can't tell, I love Kikos and wizards so..... yeah.

I think I did find a Split Kiko named Zeiso in the pound one day, but I passed by him. Guess I should have gotten him because customized Kikos look really cute! ^_^

 

Alright, enough with my rambling. I suggest painting him Red first and then planning on what to do with him via DTI. Planning is really important... to me, at least.

 

Camoflague looks pretty good, a bit rocky looking. Maybe something nature-ish if you decide to go with Camo?

Kikos have a lot of nice wearables, but I don't know that too many of them would look best with a Red Kiko.  If you might buy the clothes before the paint brush, it could be nice to have the pet already be a color that goes with them while you save up.

 

Christmas would give you the most options for customization.  White doesn't clash with anything.  A Christmas Paint Brush isn't too expensive if you eventually change your mind.  Camouflage is much more expensive.
