Nay for school

So school is literally right around the corner; I move into my dorm a week from Friday and I've never been happier to go back to school. But over the summer my student adviser left; she handled my classes and financial aid and was there for moral support. I got no notice of this which is really frustrating.

Anyway.. the adviser that I have currently has been helpful, but I hear from her few and far between. I understand that there are last minute enrollments going on and last minute degree changes and what not, but I would like updates every so often about if some or all of my documents that were needed for this year were processed. I called today because I wasn't seeing my classes changed, they still had my nursing classes listed. I got that updated and I asked about everything else that I submitted and found out my health care waiver was processed (It's an additional $932.58 for the school's health care).

I'm just flustered that I haven't heard any updates until now, but I understand that there are a TON of students that are being enrolled and documents being finalized..

I know that feeling!

My husband is going to trade school for two months starting August 31 and we haven't gotten any information on when classes actually start, or where his accommodations are.

We're hoping they send stuff out soon or phone calls are going to be made. I know the one lady handling all the trades processed close to 600 students, but still some information should have been sent out already. Last time we had the info a month or so beforehand.

I am not looking forward to him going to school at all! :(

Best of luck to your husband! I'm sure once classes actually start things won't be as bad. I would definitely call as soon as possible because school tend to put things on the back burner and forget about them.  This years freshman class is HUGE, my class was about 4,000 students this one will be like 8,000 or something like that... and with advisers leaving left and right and students constantly being shuffled from one adviser to another (I learned this from working in the school's call center) people get misplaced in the system.

Thanks! Best of luck to you as well. I think if we haven't gotten anything in the mail by Friday I might get him to call and check in on things to see what's going on.

Thankfully he has only one more round left after this one and he's done going to school. We're hoping he can do it back-to-back but we'll see if the school will let him and if our finances will too. :)

I can relate. I applied for masters courses at 10 universities, and still haven't heard back from 3 of them!! :( 2 accepted me (yay) and the other 5 rejected me (not such a big deal, I got my 2 main places)

Given I applied in April, they should have responded by now! *stress* - plus which university to choose as well which is stressful! :S

Congrats on being accepted! I imagine you worked very hard. :) And I believe that you'll make the best decision for yourself!
