Samuel
Following the astounding total redesign of Neopets.com's layout - released this week - the latest editorial in the Neopian Times answers all your questions on the project. It gives an insight on how this has taken months and months of work and discussion; and speaks about the art redraws, which have been controversial over the last few days. Here's some quick quotes picked up! "In the end, we really do think we're improving things overall and for the future of the site and that this change is a necessary one (otherwise we wouldn't have done it). We're very sorry if you don't like the redraws, but we're definitely open to constructive feedback regarding the art...Please take your time to interact with the customisation option and your new Neopets (instead of knee-jerk rejecting to them) and let us know what you think AFTER it has all sunk in." "Our goal..is to give everyone the opportunity to make their Neopet COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from everyone else's, and that includes customisation options that aren't all warm and fuzzy" "We are currently in the process of building a "Dressing Room" of sorts. Basically, this will be a feature that allows you to try on items BEFORE you buy them...We're still working on it." "We will not have an option to change back to the old layout." "We would like to say that the boards don't appear to be an accurate indication of the reaction to the changes. ;) A lot of the form feedback we're getting is very positive, and thank you to everyone who wrote in to tell us how much you liked the changes! Also, thanks to all the folks who sent in CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, which is what really helps us understand what you like and don't like. We appreciate you taking the time to send us your thoughts! They've been forwarded on for consideration and we will continue to read all that comes in. If you don't like the changes, it's not something we're happy about, but we are trying our best to make the site fun and entertaining for everyone and that's all we can do. :) Stick around for a bit, see if you like it, and if not, we'll be sad to see you go!" Read the full Editorial >> - The Lost Tomb: A Neopets Adventure - We're not sure if anyone else noticed (we only just did), but the release date of The Lost Tomb: A Neopets Adventure, a CGI-animated movie produced in conjunction with Dylan Sellers Productions, has been set as April 20, 2009 on the IMDB. The IMDB previously stated that Warner Bros was connected with the project, but this has now been replaced. Long thought to be just a joke, it could be that moves to create a movie are well underway. Ian
I really dislike all of the n00bs that posted that they don't like the new layout. It's actually a very nicely designed layout and Neopets is trying to do something different for a change. It was pretty funny watching the reactions though... a majority of the people on the boards said they "hated" the new layout. After about 5 hours, everybody was adjusted to the new layout and a new way of going about things. Now, the new layout is already old news. It's all about hype... :P

Samuel
That's been there for years and years and years and YEARS. :) It changes every so often to a new year. Very unreliable :) However, the IMDB did once - albeit for a small time - state that it was with that title. The current title is much more likely. Ruto
I absolutely LOVE the new layout. There's a downside, however: it takes forever to load with dial-up. :(
.Dan.
Good god. WTF is wrongwith Viacom? The game was bad enough, now they're going to send Neopets downhill with a movie...
Anime
From what I've heard, this has been in the works for a good long while. And I think it's kinda neat. First online pet site to have a game, and now a movie!
JubJubMan
It all depends on how they'll do it. I do however think that there will just be Neopets in it. Like no owners, unlike Pokemon. I also get a feeling that this will be based in Geraptiku. A lost tomb; if you read the Geraptiku Neopedia, it talks about the mystery of the Geraptiku Tomb. .Dan.
Well duh, have you ever seen a human or humanoid organism play a significant part in Neopets?
Anime
Dan be nice. In Pokemon, the trainers are a fundamental part. In neopets, they won't have owners beacuse we merely navigate the site, and do not play a true part as characters.
JubJubMan
Um, us? :D I know what you mean though. Also Bruce and some other Neopets used to be humans. Let's just hope that the voices aren't really funny sounding.
Anime
That area of California has a lot of excellent voice actors. Beacuse of the size of the show, and beacuse alomst everything made and dubbed in California since has had at least one, they'll probably be a voice actor from one season or another of digimon.
