Snowbell
So I know most people send in Petpage applications when they apply for other pets but I can't code well and decided to send six neomails instead. Do you think people who send petpage apps have a better chance? I applied for a pair of my dream pets which have been UFA for a little while. They are due today so I sent them in late last night. I checked to see what the majority of the applications where and they were petpages. They were pretty good. I put a lot into my neomail app and even typed a few links for the customization I made in a petpage and added it to the neomail. I have been thinking about adding some drawings as well but today is the last day. Any advice? What do you guys think about Neomail vs. Petpage applications. Shelley
I don't really know much about pet application since I've never made one myself. I've never been a fan of them either. Thankfully my lovely faerie lenny, who was my dream pet for a while, was given to me as a surprise :) if it were me, I would definitely put things on a petpage. I would include art of how I want to paint and/or customize the pet. Other things I want to do such as maybe enter them into the beauty contest or train them to a certain level for battle. I would make a nice layout or find a simple pre-made to work off of. I've gotten requests before to draw pets not knowing it was for a pet application. It bothered me so now I only take requests from people I know :X I think this page might help you if you haven't already read it http://www.neopets.com/~Skanzar I wish you the best of luck with your new pet!! I hope you get your dreamies :)
Snowbell
Thank you! Next time I will be sure to make a petpage application. Its a little too late now sadly. I guess we will see what happens next. I am really nervous. I didn't want my app to be too begging or vain but I hope whoever reads my it will know how much I want to adopt. btw I checked out your art and its amazing! The Peacock you painted was beautiful! Shelley
well if you had to send 6 neomails it sure shows you put time and effort into things! You really never know who an owner is going to choose..I hope things work out in your favor. But if not I'm sure there will be more opportunities down the road :) and thank you!! :) I actually gave the peacock painting away..haha no one will ever know it was once my faerie lenny's beauty contest entry ;) Snowbell
lovedwallflower
Personally, I have never asked for an application, but if I did, I would value a genuine and a heartfelt neomail over a petpage. All the petpage shows, imo, is that the owner took some more time on the application - but surely it's still what's written on it that matters? In any case, good luck - keep us updated! :)
