Novelista Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Would anyone be willing to help me with a Spanish translation (not for homework...I'm not in school)? Usually, between Google translate and my fractured memories of what I learned in school, I can make out pretty well, but the bit (message) I just finished reads like a disaster when I run it back through. :P A few hours later... Never mind...I'll stick with English. Quote

jennybean Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Mee too! Spanish was my first language, so I can help, as well, if you still need it :) Quote
Novelista Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I added you as friends on here for the future...just as long as I remember what for. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Pookies Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Haha I also know Spanish :P But I probably wouldn't be useful when it comes to accent marks Quote
Novelista Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 How fluently? (I found a guy on Amazon, but he dropped off the face of the earth after we exchanged a few words. :P ) Quote
Pookies Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Well my parents are Mexican, so I speak Spanish at home :p Quote
Novelista Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Oh, no wonder you want to learn...you can probably speak fluently, you just need help with reading and writing, right? (I'm not too bad with reading, for some reason, but the writing and speaking elude me.) Quote
Pookies Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Maybe you should listen to spanish music :p I can create a playlist for you Quote
Novelista Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 I've been listening to the same Orishas tracks since 2009 and I still don't know that they're not cursing! (I'm sure they aren't, but... :laughingsmiley:) Quote
Pookies Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 oooh, interesting! thanks for introducing me to them! I just finished hearing two tracks on youtube, and I havent caught anything :P (i think we should try to find lyric videos) Someone in the comment section recommended ChocQuibTown -- the sound good, too! Maybe you have heard of Juanes before... check out "La camisa negra"...there is a play on words with "Wednesday" and *dung* (I dont know if i can say swear words here? lol) Quote
Novelista Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 My two favorites are "Reina de la Calle" and "Bombo", if you want to check those songs specifically. (I don't remember if I have before or not.) Quote
