Chances of getting a draik egg or morphing potion from Forgotten Shore?

I think the chance is very low. I've gotten 10k sometimes and the Treasure Chest, and best of all, the avatar!!

From my 10 years of neopets, I've learnt that you shouldn't rely on getting something through random drops, but just keep going every day and you'll be surprised.

Ever since the daily came out I've been doing it everyday and got one PDE once. I've just kind of learned not to expect it. Most of the time, I'm happy with a 2k prize!

Even if you don't get any of the better prizes, racking up 2k a few times a week more than pays for the price of completing the map! Definitely worth doing every day.

I've gotten 1 PDE from the shore and 10000 nps. I normally only get the 2000 nps reward

Try varying the times when you go. Never pick one fixed time because that will guarantee you some junk. Pay attention on the site as well. Have you been lucky at other non flash games today? Like winning high prizes from the wheels, finding the treasure in the caverns etc. I often find that this means I have good luck at that time, and try then. The times I did find valuable items were complete surprises too though. I think people who claim to find valuables all the time are either over reacting or lying ;p.

I am not trying to argue with you, and you may be correct about the over reacting, but I don't think people are lying. There is really no reason to lie. It isn't benefiting them to lie about it. I think that when someone finds a rare/expensive item, they forget about how much junk they found before finding that item. The thing is, a while back I would read these posts and how people NEVER found anything at the forgotten shore. But for me, 5,000-10,000 NP was the norm. I have 11 treasure chests, and a Pirate Krawk MP. I have never gotten a draik egg unfortunately. However now, the norm, for me, is to go there and find nothing at all, and a lucky day is to get 2,000 NPs. So I think it tends to run in waves as well.

 

For the person who said when you are hitting a lucky streak at a certain time of day, that is when you want to try other things, I totally agree. Yesterday I was playing Kacheek seek and finally got the avatar. Then I zapped my pet with the lab ray, and got that avatar too. Two random avatars within minutes of each other. I felt pretty lucky, so I went to the shrine and got a ten dubloon coin.

I've had the map since the week/two weeksish time period that it was released. I think I've gotten two magical krawk plushies, two krawk morphing potions, two pirate draik eggs and the avatar. I would say that I've been very fortunate in my findings on the Forgotten Shore.

 

I can't remember the specific times of anything. Except that the first draik egg was probably around 12:20 am Neopets time.

So since I originally posted on this thread crying about never getting anything I thought I should update it to say that since March I have gotten two draik eggs and a magical pirate krawk plushie. =P

Congrats!!! Lucky you. I have never gotten anything other than 10,000 or nothing at all. Keeping my fingers crossed I get lucky one day

I just received a pirate draik egg from the forgotten shore :) And i have received a shoyru morphing potion before.

I've been going daily for almost 3 years and only just now got a Krawk MP. I'm not complaining though, it's at least 250K!

i never got anything better than the forgotten treasure chest (and even when i open it , it has junk) and ive been going to the Shore since its first week or so ...

I stopped opening the chests because there is nothing but junk in it so it's worth more to sell it than to open it.

 

I got a PKMP a couple of weeks ago at the forgotten shore, and several chests. A few months ago I got a pirate PB from anchor management as well. I also get dubloons from Anchor management quite often. I get them from the shrine too. When I visit the blue grundo plushie in faerie land, I make sure to have between 1500-1900NPs on hand and I will usually get anywhere between 1500-2500NP or more from the plushie. IDK why, but I have noticed that. If it doesn't work for you the first time, keep trying. You will find it works more times than it doesn't. I have gotten 2 paint brushes recently from the fruit machine. Both times I got 3 Ptolymelons. My first time I got a skunk PB, a battle muffin, and 20,000NPs. The second time I got a rainbow PB, brain muffin, and 20,000NPs.

Dude, the only things I've ever won was The Woodland PB I painted my Uni Sakeh with from Fruit Machine and that was probably 2-3 months ago and maybe a month or two before that I won a Poogle Transmorfication Potion from the NeoCola Machine. I love Poogles but that was def not on my list of Poogles to own, so I sold that puppy for a nice 2 mil. I've been playing neo for years and those are probably the best and only things I've ever won. I *maybe* received a biscuit PB or a camo PB from keyquest. I got a ghost PB but when I got them they weren't worth much.

I was never a fan of the draik, so I'd most likely sell it but then it came out in Pastel this month. Now, that I could get behind. :) As for the Krawks, never liked them much either so it would be a sell! sell! sell! for me

 

I agree that it seems to be random, but I can tell you that in approximately 270 tries, I got a Pirate Draik Egg once. In that time, I got 10,000 NP three times, a treasure chest six times, and a red poogle morphing potion three times. (yes, I'm crazy enough to keep lists of these things. *lol*)

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who does this! I keep track of what I spend and how much I spend, my "neo-income" (as it stands I'm currently calculating the loss of Habi & the effect on my bank account - it's a ZERO spending time right now), I make lists of books to buy, books I've read, the amount of faeries used and what they've yielded. THE POWER OF ORGANIZED LISTS!

 

 

 

 

Completely unrelated to the above but someone mentioned avatar - uh I got it the first time I visited the shore. I thought that was given to everyone along with the background - is that not true? It's random? Because then I actually feel lucky I wasn't waiting for it.

That is exact RE I got, only he handed me a baby Koi morphing potion. Mine was during Neoquest 2. I always got jammin' REs during NQ2. But the DDMP is SWEET!! Congrats on that.

A woodland PB is Kickin', and while I wouldn't want a mutant poogle either, 2 mil is a nice payday. I am so indecisive I have held on to all the PBs and MPs I have won. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use them in the future. LOL. But with habi gone now, I am probably going to have to break down and sell them now. I can't paint my pets everything, zap them, and bring them to the fountain faerie. LOL. That is just ridiculous. :woot:
