Advice on Next Item

I'm trying to decide what item to get next to upgrade my battle set. Currently I'm leaning towards getting Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield as my set currently lacks good defense. I mostly do 1p battles, but would like to get into 2p battling at some point. Any suggestions for a better next purchase?

Yes, you defense is currently lacking. Consider Sophies Magic Hat and Wanderers Cloak for cheap and strong defense. (in this case, don't sellyour Leaf shield though!). For HT-Level shields, Faerie Tabard is a good first HT shield then you could pair it with Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield. Keep your Hanso Charisma Charm for 2P but don't bring it out in 1P unless your battling a dark-heavy opponent.

 

Consider replacing your healer with Jar of Rejuvenating Brains (Heals 60 HP, no overheal) or a 50% healer such as Bag of Healing Dust (inflated now though, hold off first) or morph your pet to use a species specific healer such as Kackeek Life Potion (Heals 33% if HP is less than 1/3 of max, otherwise heals to full), Elephante Unguent (50% healer), etc.

 

If you feel that your offense is currently lacking, consider upgrading to 14 and 15 iconers like Stone Foam Finger (15 icons, 2m) and Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy (14 icons, 1.8m also but better icon combination, available in HT) or to the anagram sword series (Reif, Ari, Thare, Skardsen, Tawre, Thlig) + Kelpbeard Trident. (ave. 18 icons, 16.25-24 icons)

Hello there! First of all, I'd like to specifically know what your budget is. That would help in identifying what to prioritize in terms of weaponry upgrades.

 

First of all. Let's look at the keepers:

 

Keep Downsize! as there is no replacement for it until the all-powerful Thyoras Tear which is a multi-million purchase.

 

Your freezer is pretty sweet. H4k helmet, being a 100% freezer, is pretty nice already. If you want an extra punch, however, I suggest you go for Magical Marbles of Mystery or Sleep Ray. If you want a pseudo-constant with a 50% freeze, The Death Knell would be amazing (I actually recommend TDK more than the 100% freezers, but that's just my personal preference).

 

Your constants are pretty good, as Y-Blaster and BLSoWS are decent constants. I think you can go for something more powerful. Like change BLSoWS for a Kelpbeards Trident or Sword of Skardsen (as you are more interested in 1p battling at the moment). But for 2p battling, I suggest (two of my favorite weapons, but I still do not have either of them personally) the Sword of Reif or Skarls Hasty Mace because of the unique combination in icon.

 

Your Honey Potion is something that I would suggest you get ride of. Since your Y-Blaster and your BLSoWS do a similar type and a similar amount of damage, I suggest you let it go for a more powerful bomb. The only bomb worth considering nowadays, due to the departure of the Rainbow Clockwork Grundo from the Hidden Tower, is the Ghostkerbomb (which you will find no immediate replacement for for a LONG TIME).

 

Although I definitely agree with the comment above. You do lack defense. Seeing your pet (which is very well-trained and well-balanced), I suggest getting Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield as your shield and maybe couple it with Clawed Shield for some fire-reflecting and 3-dark-icon-defending. Or maybe use your HCC to plug up the 'dark-defending-holes' in your HNMS.

 

Lastly, for healers, I do agree that your healer isn't good enough for your pet. I suggest you consider buying a Bag of Healing Dust or morphing your pet and then using species healers like Gelert Healing Remedy or Kacheek Life Potion.
