How to prepare for Altador? Help!

Recommended Posts

So this is my second AC and I'm really excited. Last year I knew about the rank system but didn't really care for it but this year, I plan to go all the way to all star.

I want to get organized too and make a certain goal for each day. but to do that i need to know on average how long AC lasts. like a couple weeks or a month?

So then i can figure out how many games of YYB, SOSD, MSN and SS to play each day so I will reach Allstar by the end!

aha its really weird i know and its just some weird think where i like to be prepared and organized. so can anyone help me figure out how long it lasts ? thanks!

Based on last year's ranking system (I don't know if it changes. Last year's AC was my first one.), it took one of the following to get All-Star:

1334 Yooyuball wins

4000 Yooyuball draws

2667 Slushie Slinger games

16000 Make Some Noise games

16000 Shootout Showdown games

Since last years cup took place from June 1-27, you had to average one of these per day: (I rounded up)

50 Yooyuball wins

149 Yooyuball draws

99 Slushie Slinger games

593 Make Some Noise games

593 Shootout Showdown games

Since Yooyuball is a three-minute game, and assuming you only played it, you would have to play 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) per day to reach all-star.

Shootout Showndown takes me roughly 10 seconds per game, so I estimate that it would take 99 minutes per day (1 hour 39 minutes).

I don't know the times for the other two games because I hate them and only played them three times a day to get the NP.

Yeah MSN and SOSD are the quickest way to earn points, but it takes more games to equal the same amount of points a winning game of YYB gets you. SS is the second best game for scoring points, but it can take the longest if you're good at it. There seems to be a certain score threshold for each game where you have to earn a minimum score in order for the game to count so you could play SS or MSN until you pass that score and then bow out and start another game. SOSD, as people will and have said, can be done in like 10 seconds.

However, the main game is of course the main area of support. What I do is chunking: play each game for a certain amount of time (or a certain number of times) a day. I do that for YYB and SS. Then because MSN and SOSD take the least amount of time, I spend the rest of my time trying to get in as many of those games as I can.
