Should I change my lab pet?

Today I did the unthinkable and used an Ogrin Morphing Potion on my Water Cybunny by accident.

 

What is done is done. I found this is the time to start my royal pet plan running, because I wanted a Royal Bori Boy since I saw them. The water Cybunny was my former lab pet, I started zapping another one when I got the Water color, but his stats are not yet deformed and I was thinking I should make him the Bori, stop zapping him and start zapping the ex-cybunny-now-not-wanna-be-ogrin pet. There is the brain scratcher, should I do that, or just fix the ex-cybynny to a royal Bori and just proceed with my life with 2M NP less?

 

I think the explanation is a little bit complicated. The main question is if it is a good idea to change lab pets. This means that at some point most of the pets will have horrible and hard to fix battle stats, low level, low defence and stuff.. I am a person with only one account and only 4 pets and I just want a Robot Kacheek in the end.

Oh man, I'm sorry. I hate it when stuff like that happens...a few days ago I accidentally zapped my Island Kacheek instead of my lab pet. Thankfully nothing happened, but I had a mini heart attack.

 

And as for your dilemma, balancing stats isn't horrendously difficult. I feel like training your pet with the lab ray works out in the end because it ups your HP so much. Is the Battledome important to you? Or are aesthetics more important?

I didn't care about the Battledome until this war started and I went though it thanks to my lab pet that has almost 600HP. Suddenly I wanted to train him and balance his stats (mission almost impossible). I think I will still try to do that regardless the time and the neopoints, I am not in a hurry anymore. Maybe I will just stop zapping for the moment :)

 

I am wondering about a couple of things that might have been answered in other topics, like what about you have a faerie ability and the lap ray makes your level drop below the required level for this ability and so on. I will look around in the forum for answers.

I know I've read somewhere in the forums (I forget which topic it was, but it was in here xD) that you simply aren't able to use the ability until you regain the level you need to use it.

 

To give my two cents in your dilemma, it takes a lot of patience to train battle pets' stats evenly, but it's quite possible and I know a few people who have done it through codestone + item training (armoured neggs especially, for defence) so all hope isn't lost if you do want to go in that direction.

I see you've already gained your Royal Bori, so it's probably pointless now to comment on it. At least you didn't morph your Mara Shoyru or Woodland Cy instead - I would have been much more devastated to lose those pets than a Water Cy.
