Filippa
Hi!So there's a new war coming up, and I should probably refresh my equipment. Right now I'm using Downsize!, Sophies Magic Hat, Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Ylanas Blaster, Golden Compass, Honey Potion, Randomly Firing Freeze Ray and Helm of Recovery. I also have a Parasol of Unfortunate Demise, Hanso Charisma Charm, Scarab Ring, Purple Sticky Hand, Leaf Shield, Patched Magic Hat and Greater Healing Scroll that I'm currently not using. Any recomendations for what to get next, or good combinations? I'm thinking about Ghostkerbomb and the Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic. Any ideas here? Lamppost
If I were you, I would definitely get rid of your Honey Potion. It's not helping you much since your BLSoWS and YBlaster both do about the same number of icons as it, and they're multi-use. If you want another multi-use bomb, your best option is GBomb. If you can't afford it, another option is Rainbow Clockwork Grundo. It's not nearly as good as GBomb, and it's not much better than HP, but it is a little better with an average iconage of 16.4. SSYT is a good healer upgrade for you since you meet the intelligence requirement. It's pretty costly, but it will get you an extra 25 HP when you heal. After that, I think your next upgrade is to a strong attack weapon like an anagram sword, Kelpbeards Trident, or Pirate Captains Cutlass. They will give you a bunch of attack icons over your BLSoWS or YBlaster. You could also look into the stronger shields like Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield or equivalents, or a 100% freezer like H4000 Helmet or Magical Marbles of Mystery. If you're looking for things to sell, I suggest you get rid of your Scarab Ring, Golden Compass, and one of the Helm of Recovery or GHS. There's really no reason to have two 50-HP-healers, especially since you can't equip them both at once. You have much better weapons than Scarab Ring, and HCC is an almost direct upgrade of Golden Compass. I might even suggest selling HCC since you have BLSoWS and YBlaster, but it could work in your strategy, so that's up to you.
Filippa
Thanks for your reply! Which shield would be better; sophies magic hat, patched magic hat or leaf shield? I rarely actually use the shield, I just use my freezer, my bomb, my constants and/or my healer, and get over with it :P I mostly do 1P battles and battle in plots, and the RFFR is okay. I don't think I'll be getting a new freezer at this point. So I'm thinking I'll get rid of the two shields I don't need, my Hpot, the helmet of recovery, the greater healing scroll, one of my HCC (I have two), and then I can afford the Gbomb and the SSYT. Although, I only found one SSYT in the auction, for 5,500,000, and that's a bit expensive. Does that sound like a good plan? :)
Lamppost
If I were you, I would hang on to the two other shields. You have decently high defense, so if you keep training it, you can get some mileage out of a shield. Multiple shields means you can defend against multiple different types of icons, depending on the icons that your opponent favors. Plus, you have the extra space in your set if your set is YBlaster, BLSoWS, GBomb, RFFW, SSYT, and a shield. In this case, you might want to re-think your strategy and pick something that uses the shields effectively. However, if you need the funds and you don't plan to use the shields much, you might as well sell them. If you plan to only keep one, I'd say it's personal preference. They all defend 5 earth icons and at least three physical, and from there they vary. Sophies defends the most icons and the greatest variety of icons, but if you're fighting an opponent that does mostly water damage, Leaf Shield would be a lot more useful. Filippa
You know, I don't train anything in particular. I just use the Faerie Fortune Cookies and some random stat will increase. The USD is pretty low compared to the Norwegian Krone, so I have a lot of those cookies! And I don't really have a strategy. I just try to freeze in the two first turns while using a constant, and use a bomb and a constand/healer if necessary when opponent is frozen, and I usually win. I can probably sell the Patched Magic Hat and try to work around the SMH and LS if I find a decent strategy :P Edit: Perhaps I should switch the shield with the HCC and/or the PoUD?
