wumpeh
Hello! My name is Carolyn. I'm hoping for some battling advice in lue of this anticipated plot- I don't have any battle experience, and I'm sure you all know just how welcoming and helpful the BD chat is with newcomers. I'd really appreciate some direction! The stats: L 60, HP 140, S 51, D 36. (Hopefully I'll have time to train up to 55 str for the boost before the plot starts) Here are my items: SoKx2, GSoH, RFFR, downsize, muffins. I recently just bought a parasol too, before they could inflate further, but I am also considering a Hanso thingy. However, I only have about ~500-800k to play with. That puts this Hansos thingy at the high end of my budget- If I get it, I can't get anything else. I am so lost, I don't want to buy the wrong items! Is there anything you would recommend I get or upgrade to? Also, I have no idea how to battle or how any of these items even work, please be patient with me! Thank you for your help everyone, I really appreciate it!
General Technology
Hello there! Okay so, recap: Level: 60 HP: 140 Strength: 51 Defense: 36 Current set: Scroll of Knowledge Scroll of Knowledge Greater Healing Scroll (?) Randomly Firing Freeze Ray Downsize! 15-icon muffin Parasol of Unfortunate Demise If the above is the case, I think you're very much alright. I'm not sure what I should suggest. Your strength boost is alright but your defense is pretty wishy-washy (which is totally okay, I have similar defenses right now and I hate it :/ ). In any case I have to two main suggestions: Get a reflector or get a shield (the former is preferable). Prickly Potion and Voidberry Potion are items that use the opponent's strength boost to induce damage, or the 50% reflectors such as Double Dryer (air), Shovel Plus (earth), Dual Battle Mirror (light), Super U-Bend (water), Ultra Dark Reflectorb (darkness), and Turbo Flame Reflector (fire), which reflect 50% of their respective icons dealt by the opponent back at them (however that are fragile). For shields, I'd recommend what I always recommend Leaf Shield and Sophies Magic Hat. But since your defense is a bit low, shields aren't really recommended

(Someone correct me if I am wrong). You'll need to get started, or you might think about the A Strength Potion or Bubbling Fungus.

I think it depends on where they would train. I think Mystery Island allows your HP to be three times your level. But for Swashbuckling academy, I think they have to be twice your level =) So you're right :D

MI will let you train your HP to 3x your level, but you can't train anything else unless your level is at least half all your other stats, including HP. So yes, they'd have to train up to 70.
