hickt0wn
After over a month of living at home during winter break, I'm finally back in the dorms and on campus. While it was nice to be at home and see my family, a month is a LONG time to be away from my friends who I pretty much interact with on a daily basis when we're here and are really my second family. Plus, I just love my school and the people here are ALL really great. It's so nice to see everyone and catch up before classes start tomorrow. It's already back like it used to be with us - stealing each others food, throwing insults and just being loud in general. ;D Do you have any friends who you consider your second family or you know that when you guys are gone for a while, you always pick up where you left off? passiflora
I don't live at home, but I don't live on campus - I rent out a house with three other girls. I definitely know the feeling of enjoying seeing friends after a few weeks spent at home, but I do appreciate home more now, too (nicer food, laundry, etc. ^_^ ). Not sure I could live right on campus, seems too noisy/busy/cramped for me!
Anxious Zombie
When I was in college last year I lived in an apartment with my boy friend and his dad. Now I live in my aunt's basement.
flyingeevee
I live alone with my birds....you can call me a crazy bird lady xP I have great neighbors that have my back and while I do sometimes like to socialize on campus and around, I actually like living alone and doing whatever I please without having to share anything. My birds also keep me company so it's never really "quiet" :P When I'm away from my place...I can really feel it and while I love seeing my parents again during the holidays, I miss going back to my routine ^^
Jadey
I always intended to live on campus because I hate traveling to and from work and uni, but they built a small campus connected with the large university 10 minutes from my home instead. Because everyone that attends the uni lives within a 30 minute radius of the campus and we stay in the same class of 20 the whole course, we are like a little family. Even though uni has been over since November we've all got together weekly and caught up for coffees and dinner. I was in a bad place before I started uni, but as soon as I met these people I've created the strongest friendships and I don't know what I'd do without these people in my life. I know that even when Uni is over and we all go our separate ways their friendships that will last a life time.
