~Xandria
So I neomailed someone to say "Happy holidays" which went through the filter just fine. That person then sent me a neomail back saying the same thing. Okay.... so then I neomailed someone else and was trying to figure out why my message wasn't going through. I searched through all the words and didn't find anything that could be considered offensive. (Note I went back and took out words and kept getting the error message, which is why I'm scared) Finally I took the word "holiday" out and it went through. How does this make any sense at all?! ;) Now I'm freaking out because a lot of people have been perma-silenced lately even if they didn't post on the neoboards. Someone even suggested that maybe after you get however many "errors" you are perma-silenced. I hope that isn't the case. :whofarted: I'm still so confused as to why it didn't find "holidays" offensive the first time, but then did the second time. o_O
Xepha
It could have been something else... you never know with the filters. I've been saying happy holidays a lot lately and nothing has happened to me :P
~Xandria
It could have been something else... you never know with the filters. I've been saying happy holidays a lot lately and nothing has happened to me :P Maybe you're right... I guess I could have taken out a couple words at once and not noticed. My mistake. I'm still kind of worried about being perma-silenced over it though. People have been getting silenced for reasons as trivial as this! -_-
Xepha
Just try to relax and don't fall in paranoia. I don't know that many people who are permanently silenced. And usually, they really deserved it because they kept breaking chatting rules. This topic has been edited by a member of staff (Xepha). The original topic had been answered.
