deboratibi
I don't listen to the radio, but Rihanna's "Work" (aka "werwerwerwer/durdurdur") is inescapable. And I absolutely hate it :axehead:
jingfah
I hate to have to be the one to say this, but songs get overplayed on the radio largely because of their popularity. Radio stations schedule their songs based on the fact that the majority of people are in their car (and therefore are listening to the radio) for an average of ~20 minutes at a time. Because the song is so popular and so in demand, it cycles through more often so that all those people who only pop in and out of the car for short amounts of time can hear it (this is probably an out-of-date statistic given the increasing number of commuters, but it is still the reason you get to hear the same songs roughly every 20-30 minutes). This of course makes popular songs a nightmare for anyone who 1) somehow still has a job in radio, 2) works somewhere that has the radio playing in the background, or 3) has a long commute. That said, as someone who doesn't even own a car, I have heard entirely too much Justin Bieber recently.Sorry and Love Yourself could both use a lot less air time, in my opinion. my mother worked in radio for over 20 years (as a deejay/disc jockey/the person you hear on the radio/whatever you want to call her) and i know way too much about it, i'm so sorry. deboratibi
scannerj
I don't even mind Bieber's newer songs (Sorry/Love Yourself), but in moderation. When they're playing every ten minutes, I'm gonna go a little crazy. I fear I only started enjoying his songs because of some Stockholm Syndrome-like situation in the first place! NeoStep
To be honest, I'm happy that Skrillex is finally mainstream with Diplo in the mix, but Where Are U Now was overplayed at most parts, now it's not played at all... :( I miss the song now...where really are you now when I need you...?
