Bad newbie moments

Has anybody had any newbie moments? For example where they find something rare and sell it for 10 Neopoints. Once I found an angry coconut and put it in the stamps when I would of jump at the chance of selling it. (90,000 NP)

I've done the same! I never realized that you couldn't remove stamps from your album and I put the Brains vs Brawn stamp in there (a prize from the 2011 Games Master Challenge) - it's worth ~ 150 000 NP. That was recently too, I'd just never bothered too much about stamps before that. :laughingsmiley:

I understand, I don't bother with stamps because I know I won't win a prize but I do have a few now (Cheap ones)

 

Another moment is when I bought something and tried to sell it for 99,999.

I don't really bother with the petpetpets. I still feel so stupid for doing that!

I don't really either though it mostly because they're expensive but if they were 1000 I buy them. That is 100 times worse than what I did but at least you did get 99,999.

A few years ago, I returned from a hiatus and stuck an item in my shop for the price I remembered I used to sell it at, it sold very quickly then I realised, it had inflated while I was gone and I made a nice loss from it.

Erm I bought the faerieland justice stamp using my plot points (coz I know they are good investments) then I put it in my stamp album ( I thought I'll just take it out when I need to sell it). Then I found out you can't remove items in the stamp album unlike the cards in the neodeck. :'(

Took me forever to realize you can't take stamps OUT of your album! *headdesk*

Anyway, I've done worse than that. Back when I was a newbie I opted out of a FFQ. I had no IDEA how rare they were. :(

I've sold a secret lab map that was worth more then like 100k for like 1000 np lol.

I had a Grape Slurpship. I had sold it for 5,000 and was super excited because at the time it was the most I'd ever sold anything for. Looked it up a week later and it was worth 20,000 np. Now it's worth like, 30,000. T.T

i used to sell #1 Lab Map Piece for 250k.

Asked 250k for it, but there are a lot of requests offering me 300k instead.

picked the highest offer.

 

and i sell about 3-4 same pieces.

I'm sure I've done several stupid things, but there's one that has stuck with me. When I first started playing, I got a main codestone from a random event. I opened the item window to see the description and saw that there was no "use" option, so I promptly put it on the money tree. Not a huge loss, but a newbie with no money could have used those 5k (i think) it was worth at the time.

When I came back from hiatus I rejected a Fountain Faerie Quest cause the item was over 100K and I thought it was the Water Faerie :ohno:

In my first two weeks on this account I was browsing youtube for videos about new additions to the site and game since I hadn't been on in several years. I clicked a link in the description box on one of the videos which ended up being an illegitimate link (I had no idea). All items and points were stolen. I didn't really know there were scammers who did stuff like that.
