Petpet zapped but didn't change colour - still eligible for PPL?

One time I accidentally zapped the wrong petpet, but it didn't change colour and it doesn't have the [ Zapped by the Petpet Lab Ray ] under it. So I'm wondering if it's still eligible for the PPL contest? I'm thinking that since there's no indication that it has been zapped, it might fly under the radar but I don't know exactly how they check for it.

If it doesn't have the icon, I'd think the petpet would still be eligible.

I just remembered that zapped pets cannot be painted, and the only two petpets I have that I have been zapping (on purpose) are shown with the red background that indicates that they can't be painted, so this is a good sign :D

Like Xepha said, as long as the pet doesn't have the icon saying that it's been zapped, you should be in the clear. :D
