Has anyone played the retro-neo fan sites?

For example oldneo or leopets? Those are the only ones I know about so far. If so how do you like it, is it just like old neopets? Does it feel weird playing? I would like to apply to join leopets and try it out.

As an old time Neopet's player, I'd love to witness a website which holds true to the original Neopets - but more so for comparison. I know why they're restricted however - they use the Neopet's characters, which are obviously copyrighted.

 

This is the first time I've heard of such sites!

First Ive heard of this but I just went to check it out and it says that applications to make a new account are closed. boo!

I used to have an account on OldNeo before they shut down. It was a pretty good old Neopets clone with old pet poses, PHP versions of Neopets games, and that old style that everyone misses.

 

I also had an account on RetroNeo before they closed down due to bandwidth overflow or something like that due to new members joining in and creating as many pets as they wanted over there (even Krawks and Draiks :O).

I was an OldNeo member before it shut down. It was really nostalgic and fun to see all the old stuff again ^_^

I played a few like RetroNeo and they shut down. Honestly there wasn't much to do on those sites.
