How do I find people who collect certain items?

I recently bought a Green Oranu Bead. The trading post and neo[Removed] says it is worth 3mil. But people on the boards say no one buys it for more than 1mil. I don't know if they are trying to mess with my head or what. Some one suggested that I sell it to a collector. But I am not sure how to find a collector for the Lutari Talisman beads. Can anyone give me suggestions?

Make a topic on the boards. Collectors often browse the trading/auction boards.

Also, prices for things like that can deflate before the asking price does.

 

I had several bites on a Magical Pirate Krawk Plushie for only 800k even though the lowest list price was ~ 1mil. I was able to sell it (after a lot of negotiation) for about 850k. The highest bite was...1.1 mil, with items I suspected to be HTS. They may be pulling your leg, but if that's all you're getting, that's all it's worth.

 

It's only worth what people are willing to pay...
