So, the other day I got a really strange RE, it didn't pop up at the top of the page like usual, it popped up in its own window over the page I as viewing and this is what I got:

 

Mysterious Orchid

(special) This lovely flower is the favourite of Moltenores!

 

Does anyone know if this does anything? Its labeled as a "gift" and it doesn't appear to be anything special but the whole thing was so weird I thought I'd ask! Thanks guys

I found one in my inventory today - and I don't recall a RE either o: The plot thickens c;

 

I think they're simply gifts, like the Thank you card, but I'm not sure /:

It's from the old plot, Atlas of the Ancients. Not sure why it popped up, but Neopets glitched last night so that could be why.

I could be wrong but I think you can still do some of the steps from this plot - you won't get the final prizes or trophies etc but you can get the prizes from some of the steps.

Ooh, good to know! I'll have to look into that. Thanks! I hope they make a new plot soon and i was kind of wishing this RE was a hint towards an upcoming one, but part of an old plot is better than no plot at all

I was gonna say I remember getting that during Atlas of the Ancients! I knew it really wasn't for anything in particular, though. I'd love to see a new plot sometime!

Neon is right. You can still collect some of the items from the old plot, although they're pretty useless now.
