Azel
I'm trying to come up with my "end-game" 1-Player set. I don't have nearly enough neopoints, but I'm making a set that I think is a reasonable goal in the (far off?) future. However, there are a couple of parts I'm not sure about... here is the set (my pet will hopefully have 500 str/def at least) Kelpbeard Trident x 2 Hubrid nox shield Faerie Tabard Freezing potion Bag of healing dust Ghostkerbomb Downsize The thing I'm not too sure about is whether I should get rid of 1 shield and sub in another constant (hanso charm perhaps, for attack and def). If so, which shield to sac? Also, is 2x trident a good idea? Or should I switch it up with another constant? I do like how 2x trident looks though =P Budget wise... about the same as the above set. Close to 60mil I'm guessing. thanks!
MysteriousUser
Wow, I wish I was a privileged as you. :O Anyway you should save until you could afford higher tier weapons. You should consider a dual duty to get the best of both worlds. Jhudora's Staff is a good choice (is that still around 150M?). While it can't do much damage, it does do away with both air and most light. Hanso Charisma Charm is the obvious must if you need dark defense, but not so much for damage. And while the mass water is good, most people (well at least I would) carry a Faerie Tabard. So at max power, you are really only getting 5 physical through, save for the Ghostkerbomb, but that's pretty much a last resort. You might want to consider a fire based constant, seeing as how few people have good fire defense. I think you should boot downsize later on. At this level you rarely see weapons with high icon variability, so 50% damage doesn't sound as good when you only need to block one icon. Close to 60mil I'm guessing. thanks! Hey there, AJ here, BP staff. For 1p, you are right, it technically doesn't matter so much when it comes to which kinds of icon, rather, how many icons. Kelpbeards Trident remains to be the strongest multi use weapon point for point, though there are some 1p opponents that have full water blockers, which would most likely put you in a nifty position. I would sell one KBT, and pick up one of the anagram swords. As for shields, really only one is neccisary but two is fine. If you have 60 mil, consider selling one of your kbts for a stronger constant such as Sword of White Lies, or Ghostkersword. Lastly, some opponents like the snowbeast, mootix warrior, malevolent chomby, and other opponents that deal mass icons of one type, will appear with attack peas of different kinds, usually mass earth, air, and water. So consider buying reflectors for each. Ultra Dual Shovel for Mootix Warrior and Malevolent Chomby and more, U-Bend of Great Justice for the snowbeast and more, (retired, buy now before price inflates) and Triple Turbo Dryer for the Snowbeast, Kastrillas, Greedy Kadoatie, Plumbeard and more. Hope I helped! Cheers, AJ
Azel
Thank you for the advice! Jhudora's Staff is definitely out of reach though. This is a set I am saving up for and I'm still a long ways away. AJ, I think I'll take the advice and substitute Sword of Reif for one of the tridents. I'll probably also get rid of the nox shield and add the hanso charm in its place =) KBT SoReif HCC Ftab Gbomb Fpot BohD and downsize or some other more useful thing Thanks! Come to think of it, for 1-P, might as well just use KBT and SOS This post has been edited by a member of staff (Spritzie) because of a violation of the forum rules. Please don't double post. demon_aj
Reif is one of my favorites :) that or skardsen will do fine, your adjustments sound great, good luck!
SuperAttackPea
If you are doing 1 player, I'd say shields aren't too useful, just go with constants.
remederp
I would switch Ftab out for HCC instead and keep HNMS. Nox shield + HCC + Burrow = pseudo TTear
