That's a piece of electrical equi - [snow for a moment and then the image returns] Oh dear, that's a bad thing. I think we need some more warfs in here! *cough* Welcome to one of the last days of coverage here! This is Lydia, having been dragged out of her hibernation for the final matchups! And oh my [censored]! Oh, sorry, that... kind of slipped out there. In what is probably the biggest upset of the season, Altador - yes, Altador! - has won in Yooyuball against the Pirates! Having no warfs left in the Warf Warf - you can blame us for that - the Pirates were left without a decent chunk of their support base. However, Krawk Island did manage to side-sweep the Suns, since Altador focused mostly on Yooyuball! This marks the Suns' second win in Yooyuball this season along with a single tie. The match itself was truly amazing - the team really meshed together on the field for the first time out of practice sessions and shined in a runaway game. Krawk Island barely managed to keep the game from becoming a shutout, finally managing to get a final, uncooperative, faerie yooyu into the net. The sun is definitely starting to shine on Altador, folks! <img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/bvf_parchment_fruit.gif" alt="Parchment Fruit aka Yooyu Kibble" style="float:right;margin:5px;"> Onto the rest of the Vaelous bracket, Tyrannia also managed a Yooyuball win against Kreludor. This was a much closer match between two strong teams, with a referee having to make the final call - no one was quite sure at first if the yooyu had made it in the net in time. A very angry fire yooyu was chittering at the referees, indicating that he had indeed made it in time. Eventually (after reviewing the tapes) they agreed with the yooyu. He was finally able to enjoy his parchment fruit from his pen. To round out the Vaelous bracket, Maraqua suffered their third total sweeping defeat, this time at the hands of the Minions. Our hearts go out to the Mermaids who were plagued with Darigan Yooyus today. For the Alabriss bracket, I'll turn it over to Emily, who is reporting live from the Colosseum!" <img src="https://images.neopets.com/pets/hit/9_left.gif" alt="Brainy Tree" style="width:100px;float:left;margin:5px;">"[sniffle sniffle] Hi. [sniffle] I can’t get over Krawk Island’s Yooyuball loss yesterday. [blows nose] But I guess you want some results, don’t you? Well, Moltara was nearly swept by Haunted Woods yesterday, but stole a win in Yooyuball. How’s that for results! I joke, I joke. Moltara is great. They have the best s’mores down there. Maybe it’s all the exposed lava? “Yesterday, fans also looked on as Meridell swept ACVI champions Virtupets. Meridell has proven to be a true force to be reckoned with in this tournament, shooting up the ranks and becoming a true contender for the championship title. With only a couple of days left in the Cup, they’re going to need to push to finish strong and hope Kreludor lets down their guard just long enough to slip out of first place. “Last but not least, the final match of the Alabriss bracket saw Terror Mountain taking on Faerieland. Terror Mountain dominated most of the competition, but the Faeries were able to take a long enough break from questing to pull of a draw in Shootout Showdown, preventing a sweep by the Chillers. As the season is winding down, Faerieland will have time to regroup and devise some new strategies for next year, provided there are no more changes in the tournament system. Lydia? I think you should finish. I’m too distraught. It’s time for a s’more binge [sniffle].” "Okay, Emily, I can take it from here. We've got tissues here, when you get back. <img src="http://pinkpt.com/neodex/images/6/69/King_Roo_HTD.gif" alt="King Roo" style="float:right;margin:5px;">In the Minitheus bracket today, there were great matches all around, keeping everyone on the edge of their seat until the whistle blew! Roo Island narrowly got a near-sweep of Brightvale, losing their hold on Shootout Showdown in the last few seconds! Mystery Island proved to be just a touch better than the Kikos, only giving up half of Shootout Showdown to a draw, but otherwise taking the matches. And last, but not least, the Lost Desert was able to hang onto Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, but the Ninjas proved to be able to make more noise - who would have thought! I always imagined the ninjas as being quiet folks. Also, Shootout Showdown ended in a draw as the teams struggled to take other games. Wow! Today's matches were amazing! Tomorrow is going to be a treat as well! Altador surprised us all today, and now they are going to be going up against Maraqua! Can the Suns shine through all that water? We'll see! Kreludor and Darigan Citadel - who are currently first and fourth - are going to go head to head as well, which could very well change the course of these games! Mystery Island is going to have to take the heat as well, going up against Lost desert! All this and more! This is Lydia, reporting for The Daily Neopets, signing off. Good night, and good luck. voteforpedro333
Way to go Vaelous bracketeers, and of course the unquenchable fires of Moltara! I hope we can use your example as motivation against the Islanders today.
