Alright so I'm getting into more K-pop these days. And not just because of PSY and his new video that's all the rage.

But I've been listening to a lot of 2ne1 and 4minute. Great girl bands, if you have the time. Their music videos are very out there at times, but well done! One of the best is "Volume Up - 4minute" Give that a look! Let me know what you think.

Anyone else run into any new artists they want to share?

Wow, I'm so glad I found this topic! I am absolutely addicted to k-pop! I think my favorite boy group is Super Junior M, (I've had their song Breakdown stuck in my head all day). I couldn't pick a favorite girl group though-- too much competition! I love them all :)

I like 2NE1 a lot, and Minzy is my favorite too! I love her! I went to one of their concerts and everyone was screaming the loudest for her. I've been listening to 'Scream' by 2NE1 a lot lately. Most of their Japanese stuff is iffy because their pronunciation isn't that great, but that song is so catchy!

EDIT: Volume Up is a great song! The video is really cool too... Who doesn't love vampires? :D

As I could read, I'm already out of place... :ohno:

I just can't stand most part of the artists you guys named in the previous posts... probably I have a big problem... LOL.

When I say that I just can't stand is that I REALLY can't. I tried, but I really, really, really hated them. Maybe I'm just an old lady that loves old school... LOL

All my money will go to buy Infinite and SHINee... :wub_anim: There's like a week my dvds arrived home and I can't stop watching them...

As for girls, I'm really into SPICA. "I'll be there" is just too Spice Girls that made me all nostalgic... :P But my favorite is "Painkiller" *no, there's nothing with Judas Priest*.

I'm a bit out of what's happening in Japan *makes me depressed to remember my days there*. And if I need to name someone it's KAT-TUN. The artists I try to follow when I can are them, and EXILE. Sometimes if I find something new from Nishino Kana or Tanimura Nana I'll give a try, because I just love them...

Probably I'm way too pop in comparison of everything I saw around here.

*Hello to someone who said MBLAQ, I love Mir!*.

Infinite and SHINee is great as well, don't feel left out! I love a lot of pop and oldschool bands like Malice Mizer <3 but we all have different tastes. That's why we are here to talk about it. Share some music with eachother. Don't be shy :)

I LOVE MANGA! And anime is so amazing !! <3 I have been a fan of such since I was about 10 years old. And a few of my personal favorites are:

Anime:

Bleach

Oran Host Club

Samurai Champloo

Afro Samurai

Inuyasha

Full Metal Alchemist (both series)

COWBOY BEBOP! <3333333333

Manga:

Loveless

Bleach

Gravitation

(countless Yaoi stories)

D Gray Man

Fushigi Yugi

Vampire Knight

(Anything Shojo Beat ^_^)

Loveless is fantastic. One of my favorite manga, my older sister showed it to me and I got hooked.

On topic though, I really like UVERworld and Plastic Tree. KANAN is simply amazing.. I can't think of anymore singers/bands off of the top of my head though, unfortuneatly.

UVERworld I've heard of. I don't remember where. Plastic tree I'll have to look up. And KANAN I've never even heard of. :P

I'll look up Plastic tree now.

I have recently been getting into the gazzettE. I kept seeing them on Tumblr and just went for it. xD

Great stuff, quite in love. <3 But of course, it's J-rock, I have to love it. <3

@LizyMarie: LOL... people have different tastes, I know that better than anyone, but some fans tent to "overprotect" their fandoms, specially when they are too young *like teenagers*. I've seen so many artists going up and down, in and out of business that actually I just listen to them and don't "follow" their lives.

J-rock is something I couldn't like, even trying very hard to. I think the closest I got was listening to UVERworld, SID and Breakerz. As UVERworld and Breakers I knew them as soon as they debuted, and really liked from the first listen.

Most part of the artists people know here where I live *in Brazil*, be it Japanese of Korean, are kind of... awkward... for me to say I love them... XD. Here everybody loves Utada, Ayumi, Gackt, all those visual-k bands, when I talk to them about what I learned to love while living in Japan they never knew about.

It's sad, because some of them are really great and they end up in oblivion after a while, for people only sticking to the "famous" people and never giving a chance to new talents. Sometimes a friend call me "headhunter", because I really love to find new artists and give them a try...
