Question about beginner's training...

Recommended Posts

I've been reading the Battlepedia page about training your Neopet, and I have a question I can't answer myself.

What level do you get into each new tier (Level 1 - 10, etc.)?

If I train my Neopet to level 10, will he bump up into the next tier, or do I still have time to grab as many stats as I can?

Best wishes!

level 10 still counts as the same tier, it's 11 when it jumps (and so on)

I would advise against going all the way to level 10 though, you may train to level 8 and get a super bonus of 3 at the swashbuckling academy.

That said One Dubloon and Two Dubloons are the same price last time I checked, it's 21+ when you start using Five Dubloons where it jumps in price.

Cool good to know.

Thanks for helping me out!

And yeah, I totally agree on the whole super-stat thing.

Only bummer for me, cause I've somehow gotten ChenChek's strength up to 18, so he has to be level 9.

...A second question just occurred to me.

If I visit Count Von Roo and he brings my level down from 11 to 10, would I be back in that first tier?

Best wishes!

I've noticed a lot of times the Two Dubloon Coin is actually cheaper than the One Dubloon Coin. o__o I haven't a clue why. I don't see why you shouldn't train up to 20.

Except for speed which is useless, I actually try to get the highest for everything (without having to move tiers), so if the neopet is level 10, I make sure all my stats are at 20. xD Maybe I'm not supposed to do that though. D:

Coltzan's Shrine hands out a lot of Two Dubloon Coins and now with the Anchor Management, the neopoint value isn't at all correlated with their dubloon value at the lower levels.

That being said, it is okay to train to level 20, but beware that random events and faerie quests may push your stats up when you don't want them to!

Thanks guys, those are good things to know.

I guess I'll just try to keep all my stats around the same level (except agility - why do they even have that for a turn-based game?) and hope for the best!

Pokka!

I have the opposite problem... my hit points are at 116 and my level is 31.. i have to train up to level 58 before i can do anything else!!

Ugh, same here. >.> I hate training level when all of my other stats are so low. :( Why couldn't they make it so you just couldn't train that one stat anymore?!

that sucks, gonna cost loads!

I've been careful to keep all of mine close together to avoid a situation like this.

The lab ray hates me, haha. That is one of the reason I've bought so many Faerie Quest cookies! Loads cheaper to do those than to train manually, but it'll take years to get anywhere if I don't train manually as well. Luckily, dubloons aren't too expensive- 3.5kish a level until I get to 40 isn't too bad!

I see you need to get to level 60, better hope you don't get any more dark faeries! they're just gonna make it more difficult *eek*

I hope codes and such don't skyrocket too much if a war is announced.

Urgh, I know. I have only had two or three over the last five cookies though, so that's not too bad!

Same here! I've been checking the SSW for some decently priced ones. I want to stockpile a little bit before the war (I'm sure there's going to be one. :3)

Two Dubloon Coins are a more common prize from dailies than One Dublonn Coins are.
