The Big Cheese
As you may or may not know, we have been having a problem with spammers joining and posting links to outside websites. We are doing our best to delete them as we see them and we will be getting some forum security upgrades in the near future that will hopefully stop this problem. Until then, if you happen to come across one of these topics or posts, simply click on the report button and send a report to the staff. This is the quickest and easiest way you can tell us about it. Things you shouldn't do are click on the links because they could have any number of viruses or cookie grabbers or many other bad things. Also please please do not reply to any of the topics or posts, this just draws peoples attention to them, making the problem even worse. It is also spam, and you will get into trouble for doing it. All in all, the best thing to do is ignore it. It will go away eventually. Thanks Ryan TDN Staff

Dillon
Lets hope they don't. If they do just report them. I made the mistake of replying to a topic.
Guest Lightning Strike
Yeah, I've seen lots of spammers recently. I will report them if I see spammy posts.
Matt
Damn you, TBC, you beat me to it! But I suppose the message still gets across. Please please please don't reply to them, even if it is a sarcastic comment about them. It just drums up attention, which is exactly what they want. Ellie_Penguin
I feel your pain! They're extremely annoying, but you guys actually get the "best" spammers because at my bf's forums we used to get spammers who would post EVERYWHERE. They changed forums so we don't have that problem anymore XD.
Mira
I remember one night when someone (I won't mention his name) kept replying to spam topics and that made a whole bunch of other people do it to, and I practically went mad because of it. xD
Ruto
Spammers are annoying. *gets out can of spammer-be-gone*
Ellie_Penguin
so I take it if we reply to spammers, we will get warned?
Ruto
I would think so. Why would you want to mingle with the low-life people anyway? :P

Ruto
People like that either have no lives or are stupid little children whose parents don't know what they're doing. I go with the latter.
Dillon
Agrees ^ i think it that they think they are funny. To post sick stuff on a CHILDREN'S website. (please note i know this website is for teens and adults too. But if a child saw it. Poor thing. )
Chipmonker
Ummm, about the spammers, I'm positive (99% sure) that they are spam bots and not humans.
Dillon
but how could a spam bot enter a code????
Ellie_Penguin
yea they're automatic robots, programmed by humans so whoever programs them well there u go xD
Dillon
So the automatic robots are programmed to follow a screen. P.S. I AM A SUPER MEMBER NOW. YIPPEE!!! Mira
Follow a screen? o_O They are programmed by actual people to do these things.
Dillon
I mean that if the code says enter 567845 the robot will enter it.
.Dan.
Well, this is exactly why we need more mods. TDN staff have a pretty slow reaction time, when it comes to removing Viagra and porn ads. I remember one topic was online for over two hours.
EnlightenedOne
confuciousnz for Mod???? 4words This post has been edited by a member of staff (Matt) because of a violation of the forum rules. Yeah, we hate people spamming to make up to four words. That's not what the rule's for... .Dan.
Don't even start that crap, Bo. If I get voted, my first campaign is somehow ressurecting some of the older stuff. And booting you back to the MCF, Bo.
Dillon
Wow 2 hours. Hey confuciousnz i'll vote for you. Bo was gonna reply to him but i tried to show him this thread.

Samuel
Moderators will never be voted in, and members with a history as poor as confuciousnz won't be joining our team in any aspect, regardless of public support. And as for 'resurrecting' some of the 'older stuff' - moderators don't generally have access to site administration. Move on.
