Does anyone know if you get a new pet either by creating one or adopting one in order to get an avatar, then get the avatar, then put the pet up for adoption, will you lose the avatar? For example, I have two pets and don't want any more, but in order to get the avatar 'Bless you, Shoyru', I have to have a shoyru pet and bless it with a faerie. If I ever do get another pet, I want a blumaroo!

Tra la la (thanks!)

Once you get an avatar, it's permanently yours! (Except for a VERY few that you can lose like the Count Von Roo Avatar)

So you can bless a Shoyru on your account whether you created or adopted it, then send it to the pound and the avatar stays with you.

There's a lot of different pet avatars that require various species so it would be almost impossible to get them all if they go away whenever that species goes away too!

Hope that helps ^^

Yes, it definitely helped! Thank you. (Here are more words so I don't get bumped lol)

i personally adopt pets for avvies it reduces the amount of junk pets floating around neopets, actually once i have some nice painted pets and my bd pet i'm going to start adopting and then zapping them so they get adopted easier

I agree and I will adopt every one I can because I also don't want the extra 'junk' pets floating around. Thanks for the reply!
