leedom111
So, I didn't think I'd get one, but I actually did... (It's on my "parent's" account... lol) I feel kind of bad for posting when most people haven't gotten one, but I'm really stuck for what pet to get... So I ask you, what's popular? I'd also like to find out the most desired/expensive pet, for reference.
lilshadowdweller
For a guide on the most expensive (and therefore, "rarer") colours, TDN has a nice one which explains the price of certain brushes: http://www.thedailyneopets.com/articles/paint-brush-prices/ The Water Paint Brush (valued at 20,000,000NP), is exceedingly popular and considered beautiful, although your choices for painting them are limited. See a list of Water Pets here: http://www.neocolours.me.uk/viewpet.php?colour=Water&species=all&pose=happy+male Wraith (valued at 15,000,000 NP) is also highly valued. http://www.neocolours.me.uk/viewpet.php?colour=wraith&species=all&pose=happy+male A major favourite one right now is the Eventide, which is very beautiful but maybe harder than Water/Wraith to customize. Also, it's only available for three pets currently. http://www.neocolours.me.uk/viewpet.php?colour=eventide&species=all&pose=happy+male Keep in mind the prices may alter significantly as time progresses, but as of currently, choosing any of those three colours make you of people's envy. Also, if you could paint a Limited Edition, it would be even more so. Also, it's all about your personal preferance. I love Maraquan, which is a highyl sought after colour. Keep in mind the price you spent for the FFQ, it should be less than whatever the Paint Brush you want would sell for. ;) I personally love the Water Pets and Maraquan. Congratulations. Hoped I helped.
Sweetdang
Huge congrats! :D Well, the general "desired" was mentioned up above, but other than that you can also make colours like chocolate, or custom for people in exchange for something you really want. muppetelle
I got one too! I'm having much fun deciding, I've narrowed it down to what pet I'm painting (with a little help from my TDN friends) and it's definitely going to be a poogle. I've now left myself three choices - zombie, transparent and plushie and i'm really finding it hard to decide, but ENJOYING IT SO MUCH!! If you have a read of my FFQ thread, http://www.tdnforums.com/index.php?/topic/31961-fingers-crossed-poogle-mp-ffq/ people have offered some great advice, and also a brilliant link to a site, that lets you dress pets, so you can see what they'll look like customised (if you're into customisation)! Good luck, have fun, and please please let us know what you decide :) :)
Spritzie
Congrats! :D That's exciting! If there's no pet/color combos you are really loving right now, I recommend waiting until the pet day of some of your favorite species, to see if a color you love is released for them. That's what I did with mine. I got mine in February, and even though I planned to use it on a Chocolate Draik, I waited until Draik Day to see if something else was released that I liked more. (And it turned out there was. I used it to make Aitvara Water instead.)
Tedhaun
Fountain Faerie Quest? I'm currently happy with the pets I own. Let's see anyway... I could give my Hissi a Halloween Paint Job just to get the skeletal bone cover it has, and repaint him Darigan so I can have a bony Layton Vickles. I could aim for a Jelly Poogle, though I will miss Lippstik's elegant Faerie Wings. ...or maybe a Chokato Kiko, since that's pretty tough to obtain normally. ...or none of the above and save it for a Coconut JubJub in the future, feed him Tropical Food, and get an avatar! leedom111
Thanks for all the ideas you guys, I really appreciate it :D It's just... dizzying the array of colors I have to choose from... Not to mention the trading options if I try to trade @_____@ I've been trying to figure out my "dreamies" lately and having pretty much zero success. I like a whole bunch of pets, and don't feel particularly strongly about any of them. Not to mention my accounts are cluttered up with impulse pound snags that I'm trying to adopt out. Right now I'm feeling best about Jetsams and Zombies... But I'm very fickle in what I like. I may not like them in a couple months @___@ I'd love to paint a draik or krawk but I can't afford that XD Edit: The trading guide I've found (http://www.neopets.com/~x__loveable) lists plushies as the highest value trading pet... do you think that's accurate? I might want to paint something that I can trade well in the future...
Spritzie
You could always just hold onto it. Since it doesn't expire, once you turn the item in, you have all the time in the world to find a color/pet combo that you'll be sure about. You could also hold onto it until you can get a Draik or Krawk. Prices are still dropping as far as I know, and haven't gotten pretty cheap. youngrace
i've been on the pc boards a bit lately, and it's VERY true...plushies are definitely the most valued pets, at least trading wise. with a well-named plushie you could even get a draik. :P trading values are definitely bizarre though, since they change a lot, but plushies and certain mara pets are top-tier currently. good luck on whatever you choose hun! tytio
well, since its not on your main there isnt really any point for going for the avatar. Thats the main reason I want a FFQ
leedom111
It's a little tough because I tend to get stressed over making decisions, but I'm trying to relax and enjoy the process XD I've narrowed it down a bit... I've decided I can either paint for expense (I would choose a water or zombie Jetsam), for retrade value (plushie, pirate, maraquan, or pea chia) or for a ffq available lab only color (alien aisha) I have another question... what happens if you have a ffq waiting (have turned in the item) and you get another one? If you turn in the second item, does it cancel out the first quest?
leedom111
Yes indeed. If you hand in the second item, you lose your first FFQ access. So if that happens, use the first FFQ BEFORE giving the fountain faerie the next item she wants. Ha ha ok that's what I thought :P Augh since I can't make up my mind I am missing out on the rest of the faerie quests D:
Spritzie
You don't have to use the reward in order to be able to get more Faerie Quests. As long as you've turned in the item, you can continue to get Faerie Quests because the FFQ is considered completed. I got my FFQ in the first week of the event last year, and continued to get quests every day.
rookstaring
Honestly, I think that the Lab-Only Pets are the ones I would go for.. I woul dmosy likely get a Chocolate Kougra or a Coconut Jubjub!:)

I got a second ffq XDDDD So now I'm stuck because I don't know what I want to do with the first one :P If only it was on my account not my folk's... then I would get the avatar in a heartbeat :(
Spritzie
Ohhh. I didn't see the part where you mentioned it was your second one. That complicates things. Since there's only a couple more days of the event, it's really not that big of a deal to just hold off. You won't be missing out on more than a couple more daily quests. If you want the pet for you, and not to trade, I'd wait until a pet day of your favorite species to see what comes out.
leedom111
I guess waiting can't hurt ^_^ On the other hand, I'll be waiting until October (Jetsam Day) I might have transparent or eventide to look forward to though *3* Of the available colors, I'm thinking about Water, Plushie, or Zombie Jetsam... Of the three, which is the "best" choice? :O I guess water is the most expensive, so it'd be harder to save for, plushie is highly valued so it'd be harder to trade, and zombie jetsams aren't that popular so it'd be harder to find at all XD I also found a great name for a chocolate jetsam: Bittersweette. Part of me just wants to go for that, even though I'm not too fond of chocolate pets @___@
Spritzie
I'd definitely wait until Jetsam day. I waited until September myself, and I'm so glad I did. Of those 3, I like the Water Jetsam the best. I think it's the best looking.
Rebeka
I think it's best you wait until you're absolutely sure.
