Generally, yes, it is pointless as the 15 multiplier is the max. The exception: If you want to be in the top 50, then train Attack and Defence because pets are rated by their HSD. :)

Yes, there is a limit, and there is also a critical number after which you are invincible if you have a WoDF. ;)

Due to demand of another member who wanted to correct something, Neoskulltula had something to contribute (hope you don't mind Crimson):

 

 

Training past 700 defense or strength does not give you placing in the top 50. It's Health + Strength (Up to 700) + Defense (Up to 700). So in the end the only way to move up in top rankings is health, not HSD in the traditional sense.
