how to get rid of those little border lines on the side

not sure what they're called exactly, but how do you get rid of border lines? (the ones on the side of a user lookup)

thanks so much hun! ^_^ it took way too long to make, but at least now i feel (slightly) less like a coding dummy. :P

 

for future ref / anybody interested: the code for removing the lines is #main {border: none}
