I'm a little confused on this avi. I've seen a few topics on the neoboards of people offering to lend this avatar. As in lend the amount of neopoints? Is that against the rules?

Personally I think it's a little odd to lend that but not technically against the rules presuming that you return the np. To me it's really sketchy to lend out np since there is no guarentee that you will get them back. I suppose that if you are getting the np in exchange for an item of comparable worth it would be okay but still, it sounds risky to me and I would suggest earning the np yourself.

Actually, offering collateral does make a bit more sense. For example, I just spend every single one of my np on a draik egg a few months of so I would no longer be able to get the adam avatar if I didn't already have it but if I were to go check my SDB I could potentially find items that would equal the amount I would need. I still think it's easier and more fun to save the np for yourself or sell off some items then to use them as collateral.

I got my adam avvie a few months ago. The prices were quite high around 10 million most days. I was lucky enough to check one day and it was only around 6 million. I traded my honey potion worth the 600k I needed to a neofriend and then traded back. The way I did it was basically item lending and my neofriend did want to use my honey potion anyways to beat one of the BD challengers.

 

If you're looking for someone to lend I could depending on how much you needed and your item(s) you have for collat.

That's a really nice offer. ^_^ Currently I don't have a lot. I have 1.3 mil, 2 bags of peanuts, a checkered paint brush, and a couple of secret laboratory map pieces (I'm planning on getting the map sometime in the future). If your okay with that as collateral I would love to get the avatar. If not, I completely understand. I have seen too many people scammed on neopets recently. Thanks for being so generous.

I would have been more than happy to lend you the NP for Adam but unfortunately through my love for Draiks I'm broke D: I've lent out to someone on here before with no collateral, I find people on TDN tend to be most trustworthy ^_^

You could make several trades totaling under 800k each, if each item is worth 800k or less.

 

If your collateral is a big item (such as a draik egg), go by NF-only auctions.

 

If you have some items worth over 800k each, you can just split the items you have between trades but it involves a bit of trust (e.g. splitting your items between 5 trades if you're borrowing 4 mil, even though some trades will be worth more or less than 800k). I would not recommend uneven trades, unless you know the person or they're a regular poster here.
