Yes, that is true in a sense. But when you stick to a single side you gain their trust, learn their weaknesses and become almost a part of them, so that when you turn on them you get to crush them with ease by exploting their every fault and hope they don't defeat you in the same manner first. Evil is about timing and destruction, lots and lots of wanton destruction.
